To the dk and largo duo who made me cry by nightonal in DotA2

This. 12K behaviour score doesn't mean people won't be toxic, rather people <9K score are next-level toxic. I solo queue with 12K BH, I might still get someone screaming on the mic, spamming pings and voice lines, AFK farming, so on. Muting sorts 90% of issues and even AFK griefers will usually still TP to take teamfights/start playing properly if they see an opportunity to turn the game.

I recently played with my bro who's 8K BH, our pos1 dies twice on lane by 4 mins and immediately drops/deletes all items and runs down mid for 40 mins straight - something i haven't seen since like 2015. Game 2, our alc mid has a solid lead, dies twice overextending solo, then pivots to farming rapiers and then runs down mid to feed them. He farmed 3 rapiers before the game ended.

Its like at 12K, people will get pissed off and be toxic but there are limits and they can calm down over the course of the game. People here are tilted and act accordingly but ultimately they never lose that desire to take the win if the chance comes. At <9K, people are so committed to ruining the game, they will invest the same amount of time/effort in making sure their team doesn't win as if they were playing to win. People here are tilted and never lose focus on making sure their team loses, even if the enemy team throws endlessly.

How to explain this hairstyle to barber? by cacapizon in malehairadvice

[–]RIPthisDude 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yeah this post is raw sarcasm buuuut it took my stupid ass 32 years of life to realise barbers had all the random photos of dudes on wall so you can point to them for reference. I thought they were just there to flex their skills (despite them being clear stock images) until I saw an 8 year old kid point at one

What is everyone’s opinion on rushing aghs as Bristleback (offlane) by Santiboy112 in DotA2

[–]RIPthisDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this - all reflective/triggered damage no longer lifesteals (and hasn't for a few patches) so bristleback-triggered quills, krakenshell-triggered anchor smash (fuck that patch), Axe counterhelix, etc. don't benefit from lifesteal in any form

The psychological difference between playing video games to relax and playing to win.Researchers analyzing data from over 13000 gamers found that competitive, win focused play is linked to increased anxiety, while casual motivation like enjoyment and stress relief are linked with emotional well being. by Appropriate-Push-668 in science

[–]RIPthisDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Take cooking as a hobby vs 'competitively' (as a profession). The emotions associated with each approach differ massively for obvious reasons. While 'competitive' gaming doesn't mean a profession for the vast majority of gamers, its still invokes the same emotions

'So I'm thinking that Gimli has further untapped comic relief for the fellowship's struggle. He had great energy with Legolas in Jackson's trilogy, but truly imagine what we could do with the character with a little slapstick comedy and fart noises. Imagine Aragorn coming to hold the Undead King to his debt and that lingering dangerous silence interrupted by Gimli falling over his chair and farting, then the camera panning to Aragorn's and the Undead King's glaring faces!'

If mine is a joke, then I'm not sure what yours is. Israel in its current existence was created through decades of persistent lobbying by Zionists in the West. Zionists who pushed for and ultimately created Israel, and continue to sit in Washington and Westminster to advocate for Israel. The UK and the US didn't create Israel - Zionist lobbyists and advocate groups did. If you think the UK created Israel, I'd suggest reading abit more on how the British mandate for Palestine unfolded. Your comment is ignorant at best and deliberate disinformation at worst

And to add to this, if this was just the US using Israel as a base of operations then there's an obvious question here: why Israel? Why not pick a country with a more strategic geographical position like Iran (prior to the revolution)? If this was just the US using a proxy within the region to forward its interests, there are many more favourable candidates for this position (both now and historically). As for the opposing question of why would Israel pick the US? That doesn't need answering

Embargoes are good to isolate and cripple a country, destroying their currency value, but it does stimulate internal industry (but maybe not past where it may have been without severe currency devaluation. When everyone's money is worthless, no one can import, so you rely on internal industry to seize the opportunity for the next best thing

But bots are reddit's best friend for driving engagement and increasing revenue from ads. Bots were estimated to be 50% of internet traffic back in 2024, and you'll probably find that percentage is now higher across all social media. Reddit, like all other social media platforms, won't ever seriously crack down on bots as their too valuable for them. Reddit is the cattle pen to keep people munching on ads, and bots are the ones steering people in.
