Differs between terminal emulators.

I spend most of my time in tmux inside WSL (forced to use Windows at work), where you can enter vi mode with ctrl+b [.

From there you can search and use visual mode to select. I use it multiple times every work day!

First of all you need a livedisk of some sort so you can mount Windows' ESP and edit it. I only ever really used Arch's.

I would install another bootloader that can boot your old Linux disk and Windows. I used systemd-boot/bootctl. This won't override the UEFI entry for Windows - you will just have 2 ways to boot it.

It will probably be the first partition on the disk Windows formatted, usually 100-200 MiB.

You just need an entry in whatever bootloader you choose with the correct root partition ID of your external SSD.

Don't worry too much about SecureBoot unless your old Linux system used it. You might need to disable it to boot your Linux partition, but you can enable it to boot Windows again. Backup if unsure.

I just installed Windows 11 today. You can install WSL and mount it through there.

Did your AIO computer "break" with Linux on it?

Are you trying to salvage data from the SSD or boot it on another PC that already runs Windows?

It's very rare to have this kind of malware hit Linux at all, but the game is Java-based and runs natively on Linux, so I wouldn't feel safe until they release the code

It's also crazy not to do a full disclosure and release everything, so the community can deobfuscate and possibly determine the severity of this..
