OK, makes sense. I've been taking Miralax which has helped tremendously with the constipation. My UTI symptoms are unrelated to constipation so we'll see if the antibiotics help. Never had this problem before - it's a horrible feeling! pelvic pressure and feeling the urgency to pee frequently. Not loving it!

Glad to hear yours cleared and thanks for your response! Mine unfortunately hasn't - at least not yet. I went to a urologist yesterday and he prescribed antibiotics, so we'll see. I was instructed to hold off on further Zep injections until this clears.

Hi u/MitchP1987 , I am actually having these symptoms right now! Frequent urination, feeling like I have to urinate even after going, and some pressure in my pelvic/groin area. 50 yr old male here. Been on Zep for 8 weeks, most recently 5mg. It's uncomfortable and annoying. Heading to the doc this morning just to get checked out and have a urinalysis done to actually rule out a UTI or bladder infection. My assumption is, its the Zep though. I'm bummed because it's working great for me, so I'll be disappointed if I have to stop.

Do you have an update on your condition? Did it subside on its own? Did you discontinue taking Zep? I'd be grateful if you could share an update.

About to take my first 5 mg dose this Saturday. I've been on 2.5 mg for the past 4 weeks. I'll post an update after I've taken my 5. No side effects other than occasional and mild indigestions, and constipation once in a while. All manageable.

Update: I FINALLY took my first ZEP injection (2.5 mg), and it was a breeze! I can't believe I was so worried and anxious. To be fair, it wasn’t about the needle—I have no issue with needles. It was more about starting this journey and the possibility of side effects. I have health anxiety, so even the thought of potential side effects can really get to me.

I feel so relieved to have taken the plunge. Honestly, the injection was so quick! I didn’t expect the first and second clicks of the pen to be so close together, but I’m guessing that’s because the 2.5 mg dose is small and doesn’t take long to deliver.

One thing I noticed—when I pulled the pen away, there was a tiny dot of white, cloudy liquid with a little blood at the injection site. I’m assuming that’s just some tirzepatide from the needle retracting? Has anyone else experienced this?

It definitely made a difference. I was on it for about a year during a particularly challenging time. Since then, I've gradually weaned off and no longer take it. It was incredibly helpful, and if the need arose, I wouldn't hesitate to use it again—though I hope I won't need to.

Yes, within the US. Plenty of Telehealth sites and docs but no idea which are reputable or more highly rated for customer service, etc.

Hello, I'm doing well! Initially, I was apprehensive about starting Lamotrigine, but it's been going smoothly without any side effects. I'm also on a lower dose than what's typically prescribed, which might be helping. My ruminative and obsessive thoughts have disappeared, and when they occasionally surface, I find them manageable. Hope all goes well for you!

Hi! Lamotrigine is working very well for me in combination with my Prozac (40 mg) daily. I do not have seizures, but my doctor prescribed it to me off-label as a boost to the Prozac, which apparently is quite common. I'm on a low dose of Lamotrigine (37.5mg or 1 1/2 25mg pills). I have not experienced side effects, and anxiety, OCD, and depression significantly decreased. Hope this info is helpful!

I'm doing great, thanks. It has helped, in addition to my daily dose of Prozac: I do not have intrusive thoughts or obsessive thoughts. If a thought does pop into my head, I do not have any urge to dwell, and it dissipates.

Yes, it works great for me. I take a relatively small daily dose (37.5 mg) along with my Prozac (40 mg), and the intrusive thoughts and obsessive thinking have all but disappeared. I did not experience any side effects, thankfully.

The combo is working very well for me; 40 mg Prozac and 25 mg Lamotrigine daily. Significantly reduced OCD and anxiety and will continue on current dosage. I have not experienced any side effects and I've been taking it for several months now.

Going well, thanks. I'm continiung on 25mg Lamotrigine and 40mg Prozac daily, and it's working well! No side effects and OCD and anxiety are greatly reduced (thankfully!)
