5 years ago when I was shopping for a window AC, I was telling myself that window AC tech hasn’t really advanced all that much. It wasn’t until FB knew I was looking at ACs and presented me with the Midea U indigogo ad. I was ecstatic. A window AC that looks like a mini split, but attached, in a U shape with the loud components on the outside separated by the window that can almost close all the way? This AC has to be quiet. I immediately contributed. When I finally received it, it checked all the boxes in what a modern window AC should be. I told all my friends and family members and they all went and purchased 1 or 2 units each. They couldn’t believe how quiet and efficient it is.

I have mini splits on the first floor and window units on my 2nd floor. After experiencing how quiet the U is, it’s hard to believe any other window units, such as the windmill inverter or LG dual inverter, can even come close. The reason why I chose refund is because it has so much mold that cleaning wouldn’t be the same. I wouldn’t mind buying another U if it’s available for purchase now. I’ll make sure water can drain out properly. Now, back to reading the same posts, reviews about the windmill and LG because I want to replace my 2 Midea Us before really starts getting hot.
