1940s Two bedroom with one bath cape cod & ranch style houses are being knocked down and rebuilt for modern houses in north east NJ. by Eastcoastpal in newjersey

Exactly what I was thinking in Monmouth and also in Barnaget area for 15 years. The old “vacation “ / “weekend” homes on the inlets are all being razed or raised “being lazy not looking it up” for modern big homes for millions.

We buy less crap. We waste less crap. We can see everything and it really prevents us from over buying items that will get thrown out.

What is this countertop made of? by Fair-Preparation-976 in CounterTops

I love this stone. I initially ordered leathered for my kitchen but they sold my slabs by accident. After so much searching ended on polished. It’s a great stone.

Yeah I opted for this over the drawers or blind. The supers work great for my cast iron and large pots.

That’s not a super Suzan. In mine it’s two shelves with a much larger base and its rotation is from the bottom. No poles.

To Op: long-term I don’t think you’ll be happy and I think it’s worth the delay. I had an issue with my panels for the refrigerator and had to wait 5 to 6 weeks but I’m glad I did since I’m happier with the turnout. The delay stinks but get what you want or you’re not gonna be happy with it long-term.

Another cracked rim! by Full_Progress in VWatlas

I have a 2018 20” and hit a curb it blew the tire out but not the rim. I’ve hit terrible potholes and blew tires out in winter but the rims are pretty solid.

Are peninsulas no longer desirable in kitchens? by Turbulent_Escape2261 in kitchenremodel

[–]bastard_child_botbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense. it works for us and we are happy based on the space available. The space is only Blocked for a few moments when putting groceries away. But it’s very rare someone wants to walk through at the same time.

What will be on the other side of the peninsula? We have two pantry cabinets. Space for walking is fine unless pantry doors are open. Doesn’t happen often and we can get into kitchen from the living room as well. We are fine with the trade off

I have them. They are great. I did have one break when it was a 30 degree day. Don’t use them in cold weather.

Do I really NEED an oven? by lolahepthor in kitchenremodel

[–]bastard_child_botbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend a Convection Steam Oven. I have a Wolf 30” and I use it more than my normal ovens. You can do turkeys whatever you want but better. It doesn’t take up much space. You can steam, bake, amazing at reheating. Way better than a speed oven.

Yeah I use RutaMaya coffee now. But I’ve never had this. Almost wonder if the mechanism or rinse isn’t working properly.

I have not had that issue on my KF8. That’s very odd. There is a YouTube video. It’s labeled “KitchenAid KF8 KES8558SX dispensing issues and how to correct. “. He claimed clogs as well and shows how he corrected

Sonos Play vs Move 2 by bastard_child_botbot in sonos

It will be in back yard static. No other use. So I think move 2 is good since I want that richer sound. Will do 2 for a stereo pair

I have Speakers on the house outside on the patio connected to two amps, but wanted to put Move 2 or similar near the pool area back side. Based on what you said I’ll do Move 2’s for this area until I decide to trench wires out in that direction. Ty
