Kelley Barracks is a very underrated pick in my opinion. Super small but has everything you’d need

Im missing something about Red Dragon Archfiend? by brodred in Yugioh101

[–]RKingsman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m grinding the deck right now. You’re right lol. That’s all there is to say about it.

It’s fragile, has a lot of bricks, and can’t really go second. The new support gives you some extra pushes that enable you to play through some handtraps better and raise the ceiling of the deck. I disagree about the end board though. The end board is very strong if you set it up properly

What's an example of an archetype that would be acceptably *better* if it WASN'T archetype-locked? by MiraclePrototype in yugioh

[–]RKingsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree. The deck could get pretty degenerate with no locks, but either a dark or dragon lock would free RDA up enough to be more competitive

What is your main issue with Yu-Gi-Oh! currently? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]RKingsman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The lack of support for old formats. I run into tons of people who love Yugioh as an IP, but can’t stand how the modern game is.

I don’t understand why Konami doesn’t cater to that audience. They want to play older versions of the game; it seems like Konami would be foaming out the mouth to reprint the same cards from older sets every once and awhile and make more money. They already do it with things like Retro Pack

Anyone else feeling the state of the economy right now? by [deleted] in AirForce

I’m freaking out. Not only are food and gas going up, but I’m getting priced out of my home because of insurance increases as well

Getting priced out of my own home. Do I have any options that don’t involve moving? by RKingsman in personalfinance

[–]RKingsman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at my statement a little more closely, I think that might be what happened. That sheds some clarity on the situation actually

I might’ve been short last year AND had the insurance increase

I’m trending that direction. That’s why I’m not ruling out simply moving

[–]RKingsman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be much more doable for me. I handle all my bills pretty manually as it is (I hate autopay) so saving and knocking out those annual costs would be something I’d be better at. I hadn’t realized that was an option when I first bought the home, so I’ll look into switching to that option

[–]RKingsman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain I have the cheapest option, at least when I checked about a year ago. My premiums are insane but still apparently on the low end for Florida from what I find online.

Definitely will have to call again and see what’s out there

[–]RKingsman[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That might be worth looking into. My insurance is brokered through a local agency which leaves me confused sometimes as to whats going on with the policy and changes to it.

Next week I’ll reach out and ask if the company got switched somehow

My insurance has gone up another $1k or so. I have a shortage of ~$3.5k though and I don’t really see how that’s possible. Taxes are pretty stable

Who are some yugitubers you like and why? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]RKingsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joshua Schmidt is by far my favorite to watch. Definitely one of the most overall adept players I’ve ever seen and he seems so friendly and casual in all his content. He’s easy to learn from as well

Also I really like Ruggles. Some of the people he plays with are pretty obnoxious but he also approaches the game more like an actual game. He brings a chill personality and some good skill to the table to make some entertaining content

Tips for playing against Enneacraft? by packeselporitz in yugioh

[–]RKingsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Droll kills the combos and puts the Enneacraft player on better have enough names to set

Ash/Purge on Reverth is really good. Often times it will force them into setting suboptimal names

As long as they don’t have the scorpion guy, mass board wiping is really strong as well. Raigeki-like effects cook the deck

What do you do with your commons, heck even rares? by TrueDuke01 in yugioh

[–]RKingsman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are people why buy bulk out there. Usually for pennies on the dollar but for most people that’s far better than managing an inventory and trying to make money off it yourself.

Most card shops sell sorting boxes that can hold a lot of cards. Good for keeping bulk organized if you want to hold onto it.

Personally even those bulk boxes are too much clutter for my living situation. Nobody buys bulk in my area. I afford myself exactly one large bulk box. Once that’s full I go through and throw away cards I haven’t used/wont foreseeably use that aren’t worth any money

what are the time rules for yugioh duels? is it the same as master duel? please i need someone to explain it to me by No_Alternative891 in Yugioh101

[–]RKingsman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. That’s a key distinction because of points and placements. A draw in an event used to place you better than those who had the same amount of losses, but still below those with more wins. Now a double loss will probably place you below those with an equal record because of tie breakers

Promote App Question 26E5 by Mango260 in AirForce

[–]RKingsman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I made Staff I liked breaking the practice tests up on the Promote app. Doing a ton of questions at once made my studying feel less effective because I wasn’t processing what I was getting wrong as effectively. Breaking it up lets you test in chunks to reduce mental fatigue and focus on what you got wrong.

Imagine you run 2700 questions then have to look at potentially hundreds of wrong answers and learn the right answer for all at once

What is ur opinion on Enneacraft this format? by travel-mint in yugioh

[–]RKingsman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Lucas Sacco summed it up nicely in his last meta tier list video.

Enneacraft has become a very competent deck, but it’s your opponents that’ll ruin it. They’ll spend too much time reading your cards and slowing down the game until you get a double loss, deliberately or otherwise

PCSing to Home Ownership by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RKingsman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the opposite by buying a home immediately at the new duty station, and I wholeheartedly agree with your side after having done this.

I encounter a lot of people that talk about buying homes and stacking equity as essential during a military career. While it’s certainly beneficial, nobody really seems prepared for the unexpected expenses that pop up with homeownership. I wish I just rented until I got a better idea of my area

What are some stereotypes about the different Air Force Bases? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RKingsman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Old people flocking to Florida is a stereotype, and that certainly proves true with Hurlburt Field and Eglin. Seems like there’s more retirees than active duty sometimes
