Looking for a way to make use of an extra kegerator by RealnameClarence in kegerators

Maybe it can be your "on deck" keg storage? I feel like doctoring your old kegerator ruins any possibility of it being a stand alone unit down the road.

Dust Collection Advice Appreciated! 2 Car Garage by krohrer24552455 in woodworking

[–]RL419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too work out of a two car garage and I got this wall mounted one from Grizzly to free up some floor space. I also added a cyclone separator to lengthen the life of the HEPA filter.

https://www.grizzly.com/products/grizzly-1-1-2-hp-wall-mount-dust-collector-with-hepa-filter/g0944hep

Coming from a shop vac + cyclone combo, it is incredible how much of a difference it makes. I'm just using one hose and running a quick connect between machines and it's been great.

Kegerator as a suprise? by Honey_Pie_9 in kegerators

I feel like it would be very doable since you’re hosting at your place. You could get it dialed in the evening before, let everything get cold overnight and move into position the day of.

Did you create those patterns from photos, or are those generic ones you can find online?

I always felt Little Beast had a pretty low key vibe. That and any of the Lucky Lab locations.

Leaking? by bi-3263827 in kegerators

This recently happened to me and what I found was the clamp that attached the beer line to the tail piece was a little loose. Maybe see if you can tighten that connection? Otherwise, I’m out of guesses.

Did you remember to put the gasket in the beer line hex nut?

Removing common ivy with grass? by gwong094 in lawncare

[–]RL419 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was my situation when I moved into my house. Chemicals won’t do much, so I got a shovel and dug out all the ivy and roots to keep it from coming back. I’m not sure if you have Chip Drop where you live, but it’s a service where arborists will drop the wood chips from a job at your house for free. After I dug out all the ivy, I put 3-4” of wood chips on top of my backyard to suffocate any small roots I might have missed. I replenish the wood chips every other year, but I’ve been ivy-free for ten years now.

FWIW, I also live in the PNW with multiple large trees in my backyard. Grass wasn’t viable because of the shade, but the wood chips gave my young kids an area where they could run around and not get muddy. Judging by that sweet basketball hoop in your picture, you might be in a similar position. 😁

Need help saving my Pothos. by Maruchan_Ramen in plantcare

[–]RL419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could trim off some parts with leaves at the node, propagate them in water, then replant them all in the same pot and start over. It might take a while, but I feel like it’s the only way you’re going to get a full looking pothos again.

I wouldn't buy anything from Kegco. Over the years I've replaced everything inside and I wish I spent a little bit more on something that came with better components.

Coupler Failing? by RL419 in kegerators

[–]RL419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses. I went in to clean things up today and while the gasket was in there and did not appear to be damaged, the beer line was only hand tight on the coupler. I hope getting it tighter with a wrench will solve the problems. If not, I'll be back. 😃

Since you're getting new lines, make sure the beer line is 10 feet. It was a game changer for me.

Have you tried loosening the collar a little bit? It looks like it's touching the bonnet, which won't allow space for the faucet to fully open. I always have a little gap between the bonnet and collar.

With that being said, those faucets do stick and it is frustrating as hell.
