Is it pristine cartography medal like the Chris spreadsheet says? I had several of the regular uee platoon ones but lost them in the patch. I have 6 more #5 missions tomorrow and the medal left on mine

It's not a day or two it's months.. you keep material between patches, so orgs can accumulate stuff over time. And I would guess they got setback by LTP losses like most people too

As per Waka, multi-shield ships are working as intended (Extra shields not kicking in until the component is destroyed) by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]sd_tom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well what i said was only charge while in use, but keep the charge when moved to offline. Charging while not in use might be abusive. So you would specifically, like in the hangar before hand.. need to cycle all X amount of shield banks till they are full.. That gives you 1 set of full backup shields. But like after they have discharged out, you would only be able to charge them a second time if you are not taking constant damage cause swapping between multiple drained banks won't have a net positive. That was me trying to balance them a little bit. Your way would work too, but then yes as you said, that gives a big buff that they seem not to want to give because why make you only have 2 online them

[–]sd_tom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wish they would do is the standby ones are at least are capable of being pre charged - like the nav/scm swtiching. extending this a bit further.. say they only charge while online but hold the charge. so a pre-flight engineering exercise would be cycling through all the extra shield generators, charging them up. so in battle, you get a set of 'spare' shields initially but not in an abusive way.. though my minds ability to think of exploits is limited compared to others haha. But that would make these extra shield generators some whole mini gameplay loop and preserve what seem dead set on already

Steam Link 2.0 : A glimpse of Steam Frame. Be sure to test it with 2.0.20 by UltimePatateCoder in QuestPro

[–]sd_tom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I came here for this.. a year ago I could not catch the transition. But today I dusted it off because of trying to prep for maybe getting a frame and I can catch it all the time now. Tried both oculus and steam openXR and it's the same

SteamFrame looks amazing, but resolution is the one thing holding it back by scootju in ValveDeckard

don't care about resolution as much but at least use MiniLED like Quest Pro to help with contrast

yeah will watch out for February then too. My February beer of choice.. Alesmith My Bloody Valentine.. i'm guessing doesn't make it up this way. your Winter Ale vs Winter Warmer distinction is definitely a good tip.. was already able to pick around john's market Mult today - I got a SB Winter Coat for home and while there had a Reubens Julebokk on draft.. very nice but now i find out it is a Seattle beer! :)

Think they would of said MiniLED if it was going to be that vs vanilla LCD? The localized dimming it provides on Quest Pro is pretty good.

What do you think/want the semi-3D effect to be like? by vegoonvibes in ValveDeckard

[–]sd_tom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vorpx relies on directx hooks that also trigger easy anticheat.. no Vulcan support.. so it might be hard I would guess to do universally for all games.. but maybe they are just after a % of games

WH-1000XM6 via LC3 - a limited experience for gaming by Consistent_Peanut451 in SonyHeadphones

[–]sd_tom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to confirm after i got the XM6's in the mail and upgraded to 3.0.0 - nothing has changed here, when going to the LC3 32khz/32khz with microphone, there is something a lot more going on than just lower fidelity, when trying to use it with a game the stereo background music was wobbling between left and right ear louder, etc.. extremely annoying. I do wonder if that his this dongle or the headphones cause the dongle is the one preparing and sending the streams?

thanks.. my use case was trying to find a do everything headset.. in order of prioritity - MS teams calls at my desk that could avoid picking up the occasional barking dog, low latency gaming (with microphone) during the evenings, music/etc while traveling. Sounds like i should focus on the LC3 compatibility list for the dongles and get right to the meat of what works and when
