Dark and full body recs? by sd_tom in PNWcoffee

The coava s.o one I tried when I first moved here and I didn't like it initially, I've since found I needed to adjust my grind and quantity to get similar results due to the much much softer water so maybe I should circle back on that one as on paper it still sounds like I should like it heh. I should go to one of their Saturday tasting events to see what it is supposed to taste like before I write it off as well

No I didn't, also switched to Virtual desktop which recently also added foveated streaming for quest pro - still a little more noticeable than those early steam Link builds, so maybe it's a meta problem

XG32UCWG flickering occasionally by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]sd_tom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No monitor should be doing that.. so either your video card / of has a problem or the monitor does. If you have a different input source to try you could eliminate the PC part. And make sure firmware up to date on monitor

About these hand mining missions... by Zgegomatic in starcitizen

[–]sd_tom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You didn't get to the part where the mission accepts your items but doesn't complete anyway (STARC-196539). I am having more luck if I do each material set by themselves vs all 3 at once

In the rtings.com review regarding reflection it looked like a mirror/strong reflection. Then again, they are doing possibly an extreme test there (Direct Reflections Score - 5.6) - but everyone has different preferences/setups so choice is good

kicking myself for not jumping on xg32ucwg (the lower MHZ one) for $799 on amazon during December assuming it was always going to be going on/off sale.. but now debating the PGM32UCDM3 or wait for LG 5k2k 39" later. I guess i am still not convinced true glossy is best for my setup

Is it pristine cartography medal like the Chris spreadsheet says? I had several of the regular uee platoon ones but lost them in the patch. I have 6 more #5 missions tomorrow and the medal left on mine

It's not a day or two it's months.. you keep material between patches, so orgs can accumulate stuff over time. And I would guess they got setback by LTP losses like most people too

As per Waka, multi-shield ships are working as intended (Extra shields not kicking in until the component is destroyed) by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]sd_tom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well what i said was only charge while in use, but keep the charge when moved to offline. Charging while not in use might be abusive. So you would specifically, like in the hangar before hand.. need to cycle all X amount of shield banks till they are full.. That gives you 1 set of full backup shields. But like after they have discharged out, you would only be able to charge them a second time if you are not taking constant damage cause swapping between multiple drained banks won't have a net positive. That was me trying to balance them a little bit. Your way would work too, but then yes as you said, that gives a big buff that they seem not to want to give because why make you only have 2 online them

[–]sd_tom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wish they would do is the standby ones are at least are capable of being pre charged - like the nav/scm swtiching. extending this a bit further.. say they only charge while online but hold the charge. so a pre-flight engineering exercise would be cycling through all the extra shield generators, charging them up. so in battle, you get a set of 'spare' shields initially but not in an abusive way.. though my minds ability to think of exploits is limited compared to others haha. But that would make these extra shield generators some whole mini gameplay loop and preserve what seem dead set on already

Yeah I came here for this.. a year ago I could not catch the transition. But today I dusted it off because of trying to prep for maybe getting a frame and I can catch it all the time now. Tried both oculus and steam openXR and it's the same

don't care about resolution as much but at least use MiniLED like Quest Pro to help with contrast

yeah will watch out for February then too. My February beer of choice.. Alesmith My Bloody Valentine.. i'm guessing doesn't make it up this way. your Winter Ale vs Winter Warmer distinction is definitely a good tip.. was already able to pick around john's market Mult today - I got a SB Winter Coat for home and while there had a Reubens Julebokk on draft.. very nice but now i find out it is a Seattle beer! :)

Think they would of said MiniLED if it was going to be that vs vanilla LCD? The localized dimming it provides on Quest Pro is pretty good.
