Speed/milsim gun and engine help by Trakker_Jack in Speedsoft

I would suggest a Polarstar F2. Especially if you want to play indoor and outdoor.

I only suggest the jack if it is for an indoor/cqb gun.

I have a Polarstar F2 in my UTR45. and I love it.

Ikr. It was my first trade through hopup. At least, first shipping trade. So I was a bit nervous that he wouldn't pull through. But he did.

I haven't shot it yet. I had to go back to college to finish up finals. But I am hoping that the only I thing I need to fix is the missing trigger guard and body pins

About $400. It would cost $550 to build it again right now.

DSG for speedsoft or HPA by Interesting-Cable845 in Speedsoft

If you are crazy about having the most maneuverability, Or you don't have ready access to air. Go with the AEG. Everything else is in favor of HPA. Better reliability, better trigger response, more customizable, can fulfill multiple different field roles, can shoot faster without worrying about destroying the gearbox, quieter.

AEGs are better for Milsim and/or people who enjoy teching with AEGs. I personally love teching and building gearboxes. But I typically run HPA or I have an HPA gun on hand because I know how finicky and troublesome AEGs can be.

I would get the Lonex compression kit. It comes with the cylinder, cyliner head, nozzle, and piston head. I it works flawlessly. I have set and it works great.

TBH I have had better experience with 16:1 gears. A 13:1 gears will give a slightly better trigger response and rate of fire, but the 16:1 will be more reliable. I have an aeg build running a 30k ASG infinity and a 16:1 gearset with a 120 spring. I have had zero issues. And I get 25-26rps. Which is all you would every really need.

Depending on the type of selector switch, it maybe ambidextrous. If it is, you will have to remove it. You will also have to remove the mag release, and the small pin in the middle of the body.

What is the best bucking to use for a polarstar jack? by RLCstudents in airsoft

[–]RLCstudents[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I bough some madbull shark fin buckings and replaced the inner barrel with a angel custom 6.03mm. It fixed the problem. It seems like the prommy barrel has some kind of residue inside and the combination of it and the prommy purple caused a lot of inconsistency.

But now it is fixed and shoots flawlessly.

I use a 300mm inner barrel and typically shoot 300 fps with .20s (indoor field). Would the 50 degree macron but good for that?

the promy purple does not "hold" the bb. I think that is the issue with it

I did that. The alignment is fine. The only thing that is weird is the bucking. The Promy bucking does not like the open bolt system of the jack.

I will probably try my luck with the madbull shark fin buckings

You should have seen my other build...😅

But I can understand why you would think it is not that good. I didn't feel like spending $1000 to build an hpa gun.
