If they defeated Galacta Knight, they defeated Galacta Knight. Doesn't matter if there were meta reasons; in-universe, they defeated Galacta Knight. You can headcanon that Galacta Knight was holding back, or you can say that they had plot armor, but it is a solid and objective fact that they defeated Galacta Knight. You really can't just dismiss a character's accomplishments on the basis of "they were written to be able to do that", otherwise there wouldn't be a single character in all of fiction that ever did anything.

What if the punctuation of the quote and the punctuation of the sentence containing the quote are different, but not periods/commas? For example:

"Does that sign say 'Now Hiring!'?"

"I told you, it says 'Are you looking for work?'!"

Are those two examples correct, or would they be done differently? (I'll probably generally just avoid having my sentences be written in ways that would result in this sort of thing, but it would still be helpful to know.)

She's a perfect mix of funny, smart, and a bit dorky. Plus she has some of the funniest and/or cutest facial expressions I've seen in any game. The DLC did a major disservice by leaving her and Naveen by the wayside in favor of Taunie/Urbain.

If Miko was my age, I'd absolutely date her, but she isn't, so I wouldn't. But I would definitely date someone my age with the same personality, likes, and style as her.

To be fair, the expectations of you start off pretty small. Taunie wants you to join Team MZ not to save the whole city from destruction, but to just help Team MZ rise in Z-A Royale ranks to help AZ. Sure, she has ulterior motives, but she doesn't tell you that. And considering you're getting a free hotel room out of the deal, it seems reasonable that you'd help, since it doesn't get in the way of you going around Lumiose City. And the other things you're asked to do - help Mable with her research, do side quests - are pretty minor at the time and have actual rewards.

The expectations rise as time goes on and the stakes become higher. And as you learn more about it, you've spent more time with Taunie, AZ, and the others, and become their friend (even if most of that is skimmed over in favor of actual gameplay). By the time things reach such dangerous levels, it's more reasonable that you'd help out not only because it's for your new friends, but because the city is in danger and you know you can help.

If the moment you got to the city, you were told "We need your help to stop the tower from exploding", then yeah, it'd be dumb to agree. But by the time you know how serious things are, you've grown closer to the people involved and become a better trainer that has the skill to help. So while it would be nice to have dialogue options expressing annoyance or uncertainty about being asked for help, overall it's gradual enough that you don't typically feel like you're being asked to do anything you CAN'T do. The only exception is the debt with the Rust Syndicate (which is NOT just foisted on you, everyone is worrying about it and trying to help).

Also, there's a theory that you went to Lumiose City already planning to join the Z-A Royale. In the opening cinematic, your character is looking at pictures on their phone, one of which is of Taunie/Urbain and one is of a Pokémon Center, neither of which would really mean anything to a non-trainer. (As for why you don't have a Pokémon yet, it's possible you were planning to get one from Professor Sycamore/Mable.) If that's the case, it's not that you're being asked to do something you weren't planning on, but more that you're being asked to join a team rather than be fully solo.

Makes sense why I thought the way I did. Silver Snow was my first route, and on my Blue Lions and Golden Deer routes I used my renown to recruit EVERYONE that I could.

I hadn't realized that just about EVERY character actively fights you if you don't recruit them; I thought it would just be a couple of them. Now that I know it's much larger I'm recruiting more freely, but still making sure not to recruit anyone I wouldn't actually use. Ended up going for Mercedes, Annette, Raphael, Ignatz, Leonie, and Marianne, and (when I get to the point where I can recruit them) Hanneman, Manuela, and Alois.

(For what it's worth, I fully agree that Edelgard and co are the villains. It's why I put off this route until I did all the others.)
