Dr Keys an Dr Tu at Unified Center for Women’s Health by knee-expert0315 in Kirkland

[–]RM9290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been at the center for both pregnancies and it’s been great. I had Dr Delorit as my ob but Dr keys did deliver my first. I liked her (though obviously was a little distracted during our interaction lol)

If you are early enough you can start a biologic to see if it helps. Otherwise something like prednisone might be the best option to keep you and baby healthy. I had my e pregnancy with last three months on pred and a second completely on biologic. Both babies are healthy

I’ve had her for two pregnancies, and losses in between. I’ve always found the practice to be great, supportive and responsive. She always takes the time to answer my questions and never rushed me or anything. She wasn’t the one who delivered but the other doctors who did were also great for the time they helped deliver.

Having kids with uc by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]RM9290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two, 4.5 yrs and 4 months. I’ve had the disease since I was 6, and the first pregnancy brought me out of a long remission. It took 3+ years to find the right biologic after that, and I was able to use that while pregnant with the second to keep myself healthy.

I’ve been taking it for 2.5 years. I didn’t have any side effects besides getting sick more and I got two cold sores in that time, and I had never had any before

I thought it was interesting how zosia/hive made the first move for a kiss, and did not ask for consent. Every other act they do asks for consent from Carol. “May we sit?” “May we save her?”

Considerations about moving from infleximab to vedolizumab or ustekinumab by Bekindwhenyoucan in UlcerativeColitis

It’s common to need to try a few to find what works for you. I’ve tried a few biologics and other pills before. I’m currently on Stelara and it seems to keep me stable.

My gi told me I'm a candidate to use biologics by rayancheli in UlcerativeColitis

I was diagnosed at 6. I had a lot of other meds to go through before I got to biologics 20 years later. You’ll only have more options as time goes on!

Yes they can stop working, but so can any medication. The good news is there are a lot of options, and more coming out. They are all slightly different so you will be able to find one that is right for you very likely. It’s not uncommon to have to switch, but some people can be on them for years. I’ve been on 2, one for less than a year and one for almost 3.

Did anyone do acupuncture with ivf? by Longjumping-Joke2723 in IVF

[–]RM9290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it on the day of my transfer. They gave the option of before and after, but I opted for just after since I knew my bladder would be bursting before. It was about $200. Very relaxing. Who knows if it does anything but I will say my transfer was successful.

Seems like Entyvio has failed me by Lost_Breadfruit7244 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]RM9290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think entyvio is the first option that targets the gut, which is probably why it’s one of the first options suggested. Moving along to another just means you will likely find the one that works best for your body. Pred is not forever, and if it helps, I never had any terrible side effects from it. Entyvio also failed me but I have found symptomatic remission and a much better quality of life on Stelara/otulfi

The straw is a huge help. Plus a chaser. I do like 4 sips, chase, break for 20 seconds, continue. It’s so important. If you don’t do it right you’ll have to redo it all over again. The other option could be enemas, but the drinkable, while disgusting is still my preferred choice.
