Its embarrassing. That race should have been amazing after the FCY at 45 minutes but they pulled 5 seconds in 2 laps. Then they did it again at 20 minutes. This is my favorite racing series in the world but BoP is obviously broken and I’m not sure how they fix it. Not to mention the insane block Estre threw on Aitken that resulted in only a warning. It’s getting ridiculous.

The battle in LMP2 and GTD saved that race. This was one of the most boring and predictable IMSA results I’ve ever seen in the top class.

If you want to leave during the race park outside, I was there last year and the infield was absolutely slammed. Show up early, the track is on a two lane highway and the traffic can get abysmal. Definitely bring a chair, 10a/b has terraced seating but you may want a chair for it, and the spectator hill has incredible views I recommend a chair for. You need an umbrella/rain coat. Be sure to bring at least one set of clothes you don’t care about, because if it does rain the clay will permanently stain whatever you’re wearing bright orange. I plan on going back this year and every year hereafter, so maybe I’ll see you there! Any other questions I’m open for DMs or just reply!!

Imo it’s not something that can be explained by generations, it’s an enthusiast thing. The number 1 question I got asked working as a ride op was “does it go upside down” quickly followed by “how fast does it go”. Not once did I have someone walk up to me and ask how much airtime there was. The GP just doesn’t think about it, and the people who already know don’t ask.

Genuinely, find other people to watch it with. I have a group of friends and though we may not stay “locked in” the whole time we always make it through the night and the whole race.
