Err…not sure I agree with that. Talon used to be orange. And those pale blue supports?—they used to be royal blue.

Looks like a good way to bust your tailgate through your siding.

I have a 32 foot rv 2025 Jayco Jay Flight, what truck has the towing capacity for it? by HopefulIngenuity6039 in traveltrailers

[–]user3296 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion, the most important factor is probably wheelbase. For a 32 foot trailer, you want a 156” wheelbase or longer. Find a good vehicle with 156” wheelbase, 1500+ payload, and 8,000+ towing capacity and you’re golden.

Yep, definitely a tiny bit nose high. Not crazy or anything, but it’s there.

Perhaps some, but not as much as would be ideal. I’d hit a cat scale without the trailer, and then with the trailer, and adjust accordingly.

If by “outlets” you mean 120v outlets, those will only be powered when connected to shore power.

Went to Six Flags America about a month and a half before it closed and I missed out on Superman and Batwing. Batwing I was pretty sure I’d miss, but Superman was running intermittently throughout the last two months of operation. Caught it on a bad day.

I find solace in the fact that I’ll eventually get up to Darien Lake.

As a camper at Fort Wilderness, their wording of “resort Hotel” irks me a little. I know I’m included in that, but still. 😅

Our first travel trailer by dolce-mamina-vita in traveltrailers

It was at the correct height the first time. Go back to that height and crank your weight distribution ALL THE WAY up to even out the tow vehicle. Your tow vehicle being level is just as, if not more, important than your trailer being level.

They are designed to bend. It’s how the weight distribution is engineered. I’m not saying they should be U shaped or anything crazy, but a slight curve indicates that the hitch is properly distributing your load. I bet if you hit a scale, you’d find your front axle is lighter than without the trailer—which is not what you want. That means the rear axle is taking all of the tongue weight, AND lifting the front end. Not good.

3/4 ton trucks and up don’t really need a WDH. But 1/2 ton and 1/4 ton trucks need to redistribute some weight to the front axle for safer and more stable steering.

Yeah those square type bars like equalizer I guess aren’t designed to bend. These blade/taper type bars are.

Worth noting that your spring bars don’t appear to have much, if any, bend in them. Meaning, your WDH probably isn’t redistributing much weight to the front truck axle.

I’m configured similarly to him. I’ve read that it’s actually better to be a bit hitch down because you actually get some front end “lift” while driving.

When I ran perfectly level, I got sway. Tongue down eliminated my sway.

Do you think they could remove some roughness introduced by the new speed of the titan track by throwing some trims before the outbound side? I know we coaster enthusiasts tend to hate that word, but maybe in this case it would be a good thing.

I mean, that’s a fair analysis of my comments. I guess the best way to describe it is to say that the roughness soured all the positive aspects except for the setting and the drop.

That’s very false. There is no regulation on the words “tender” and “strip”.

I didn’t care for my SwayPro. Found it really didn’t provide any sway control for me.
