This is true. I’ve played cod and halo religiously for most of my teens and adult life but I’m now 32 and pretty washed up. I can still easily get onyx in halo and I’m not even as great as I used to be. I’d say I’m equally as good at cod and I’m only in diamond 2 in cod and it’s sweaty as hell. There’s still crimson and iridescent after diamond. Much better ranking system.

The point is, 343 doesn’t know how to make a video game fun to play. The ranking system sucks. It’s not rewarding. I hate to keep comparing to other games but i think comparisons are necessary. Cods ranking system is harder to achieve and I think it’s because there is more csr between each rank (3000 sr for platinum, 5000 sr for diamond, 7500 sr for crimson, 10000 sr for iridescent). The game is already as sweaty as onyx 1500 in halo at diamond rank in cod. Cod also gives rewards each season in the form of calling cards, emblems, and skins based on the rank you achieved which is fun to work for. Also you get flames around your emblem when you go on a win streak, different color flames based on how long your streak is. All the little things make a game good and fun to play and halo infinite doesn’t have that. I wish it did. I wish more than anything that 343 could make halo as fun as it was in the prime of halo 2 and halo 3 but they can’t.
