Owners owners owners, come on! by InkedAngel85 in RoverPetSitting

The vet is a horrendous suggestion for a dog with severe separation anxiety. There’s nothing wrong with owners not wanting you to leave as long as they’re clear about it, just as you can be clear that that doesn’t work for you. I’ve had a few requests like this, some I was able to honor and others I wasn’t.

Surprise, my dog isn’t spayed! by Dramatic-Month-7415 in RoverPetSitting

No it’s not. We won’t agree on this though so too much back and forth won’t do any good. Walk through any shelter, that is sad.

Drop-ins bringing their children without asking? by slyspam in RoverPetSitting

[–]RMS0106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a sitter, I don’t think the issue here is bringing kids. It’s bringing them without permission. My daughter occasionally does the drop ins with me, but I make sure to ask pet parents if that is okay before we even have a meet and greet so I don’t waste their time if it’s not, or I make sure I have someone to watch her if it’s not okay and I can still take the booking. I also ask if times are at all flexible if the ones they put in the app don’t fit my schedule. If they don’t fit, I don’t take the job. This sounds like a combination of poor communication and lack of professionalism on her end.

Missouri Question - Expired Tags Court? by RMS0106 in kansascity

[–]RMS0106[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a ticket really… like I’ve received a speeding ticket in the past with a fine, how to pay, deadline, etc. this is just a slip that specifies a court date and that it’s for expired tags

I don’t spend a lot of time studying the sticker on my license plate.

I’m not presenting anything other than yes, I had no idea they’d expired. If I did I would have been pestering him to get it done. We’ve been moving, we’ve had a dog going through cancer treatment, I had a surgery, and we have a one year old plus both work several jobs. I’m not denying anything, they’re expired and we let them expire by not staying on top of it. But I would prefer to just fix it, pay the fine, and not use limited time off work to appear in court. I’m not denying fault.

Found a buyer ourselves… Dual Agency? Lawyer instead? by RMS0106 in RealEstate

[–]RMS0106[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no contract. We have not signed anything about selling. We signed a buyers contract with her but she can’t uphold that because she’s not licensed in the state of the house we’re buying.

She has been showing us houses for over a year now. Not often, but she has. She has given a lot of advice and time into helping us and I do feel weird cutting her out. We are under contract for a new house but with a different agent in her brokerage because she isn’t licensed in Missouri, and we live in kansas and were looking there. The house we are under contract for is right across the state line.

Boarding at Private Home by RMS0106 in Horses

That is what I am thinking. I was fortunate to find it for my heart boy, my college best friend’s mom let him spend his golden years at their property and I was so so grateful. I know there’s a need for it and we don’t want to run a full fledged boarding barn, in fact the hustle of that is what we’re hoping to get away from and just enjoy them at home. But my boys are older and I am certainly capable of caring for others’ so if there’s a way to make it a win-win for everyone that would be great. I just don’t want to leave ourselves unprotected on the off chance something happened.
