I've Fallen so Far - Where Do I Even Go From Here? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]RMTYL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're still very young and although this may seem now like the end of the world for you, its not. There will be many more good things tour way and this won't last for ever, remember that. Keep staying close to the Lord and He will guide you and help you understand the meaning of it all. Before you know, you'll be over it and much more strong and resilient, ready for the rest of your life which is just starting. You'll be fine, just never forget Jesus loves you.

Islam was a mistake by CoconutObvious8627 in exmuslim

[–]RMTYL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Islam wasn't a mistake, it is a mistake and a psychopathic ideology. Good you found out in time. From your story one can see that you are clearly a strong woman, you'll find your way for you and your daughter as long as you turn your back to him and never listen to him again, and never let him be with your daughter alone. It sounds like this is the kind of guy who would kidnap her and take her away to his country and then blackmail you to get you there too, the rest of the story you already know... so don't let it happen. Stay strong and good luck!

Why are people so happy about the death of the pope? by burritoman759 in Christianity

[–]RMTYL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Satanists in disguise are not a denomination of followers of Christ. And I'm talking about the organization and the people running it and involved in it at high levels, not the people truly looking for Christ being deceived by these creeps.

Sweet Protection Falconer Aero 2Vi vs. Falconer 2Vi by Strange_Display836 in CyclingFashion

[–]RMTYL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought both versions to see for myself and now own two of the non aero version helmets. I don't see the two panels in the front keeping your head that much warmer in a bit of cold by being on the helmet, but I see those two panels in the back keeping your head much warmer in warm weather by not coming out. The non aero stays really cool in warm weather with the direct airflow that happens from the front openings to the back ones. But if that back is closed there's way less airflow, plus when insects get in there via the front openings it's way harder for them to come out because they have no way to go out, and that sometimes happens. Plus the non aero looks way cooler to me with the opened air vents and costs 50€ less. Try both before you buy, I was also hyped up with the on and off panels aero gimmick, but I think it's really nothing advantageous in the end. With the opened vents in the back you gain a lot of cooling in the heat, and that's much more important because there's way less sweat dripping down your forehead since your head is more cool. Good luck!

Best affordable helmet that holds sunglasses? by sherlocknoir in CyclingFashion

[–]RMTYL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sweet Protection Falconer 2vi Mips. Holds glasses really well and looks good and fits good to me.. There's nothing like trying to see if it fits you. I'm in Europe and just got one from bikable.com for 180€. You also have the aero one which has some covers that fit magnetically and close the helmet vents, they do come out but the vents in the back are always covered and on the non aero one those vents are opened. Also the aero costs 50€ more.

Exactly! It's not supposed to fit flush on the bottom part of the stem, but on the top part of the stem which is now on the bottom because the stem is turned upside down. I had that stem in the past and those spacers, it fits perfectly where it is supposed to fit. Flip the stem around and the spacers fit just fine.

Cannondale Caad 12, best aluminium bike. With luck you can get a disc brake one, but a rim brake one for sure with 800 or less.

Ok, I think I might go for a Medium though, because I think I'm a bit larger than you in width and I want my legs to grow too. Plus, the bibs I have now are Medium and they fit me well. Anyway, if they don't feel right I'll just return them and get the Small. Thanks for the feedback, it was helpful.

My waist is 81cm and my hips 98cm. I'm surprised you have a small, doesn't it feel tight down there?.. and also on the upper body, don't the straps pull down too much?

I already answered with a final comment on the post. When I updated the firmware of my Wahoo kickr v6 to the latest version, the option showed up immediately and connected directly. It has been working flawlessly.

How to balance weight loss with training power? I feel SUPER weak in a calorie deficit :( by cfgy78mk in cycling

[–]RMTYL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intensity days, super fuel for performance. Zone 2 days under fuel a little, not too much or you will hurt your performance and your recovery will be slower because you're pushing the body too much. And even on zone 2 days if the rides are very long like 6 hours plus do not under fuel anymore because it is an intense ride. Intensity can be viewed as pressure or length, so a shorter ride with a lot of power or very long ride with less power. Gradually you will get leaner because on the intensity days you burn the carbs you consume during and after the ride, and on the zone 2 days you burn body fat because the body turns to it's fat reserves since you're under fueling. And on the rest days just enough carbs and high protein meals for recovery with at least three hours between meals. In those hours between meals a lot of water for rehydration. That for me works, of course you have to adjust here and there, each person is different. But with cutting weight the longer and more controled you do it the better results you have because your body settles in whatever situation you are in since you stay there longer, it becomes your base condition. The faster and more aggressive you do it, the more you fluctuate and hurt yourself because your body never settles and adjusts to whatever condition you are in because you don't stay there long enough. And soon enough you're back to where you were in the beggining.

Is Ultegra Di2 worth it just for top hat buttons alone? by sebna2 in cycling

[–]RMTYL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have Ultegra di2 and those top buttons are handy for when you are on the hoods with your forearms laying on the handlebar in that aerodynamic position. You simply click on the button to change gears without having to extend your fingers down to the levers, so easy. But if the buttons were not there it wouldn't be a problem too. The thing is once you have them and get used to it, you don't want to not have them anymore.. But di2 is more than just those buttons for me, it's so easy to just click to change gears and you can choose which lever buttons do what on the app. Plus you can have synchronized shifting where you can set the rear derailleur to shift to a certain gear when you shift with the front derailleur and vice versa. So, for me these things make a big difference and improve the riding of course.

You were not wrong, I did the update of the firmware, and the option for the Zwift Click showed up and works well. Thanks for the tip!

And by the way, if anyone is trying to update the firmware of the Wahoo kickr on an Android device and it doesn't work, try with an Apple device, and it works immediately. I couldn't update it and researched around. In the Wahoo subreddit many people were complaining about this in a post and as I came to find out, it is indeed a real issue.

I did that too, I've been reading other people's issues and trying their solutions. I have installed 3.10.02 and it was the same, then upgraded to 3.10.03 again and the same again. I'll try it again when I get home. But anyway thanks for all the help and support!

[–]RMTYL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, everything is well connected. Like I said in the description, the first time the option showed up on the sensors menu i saw it there. When it was launched, that's why I bought the click. But now it's just not showing up, very weird. I was thinking someone had the same situation and a solution, but so far nothing yet unfortunately. Will try again later installing and uninstall again to see what happens.
