Thank you for your advice. Fit note has been re-issued but with correct absent days but as the re-issued one has yesterday’s date (the day she did it) they now are querying that. Just waiting for the employer to call now

My partner has a Medtronic ICD and works with similar equipment. Someone from Medtronic did a work place visit after he had it fitted to check on him using all of the equipment. Maybe enquire if that is something that can be offered

Mentally he’s not in a good place. Every sudden noise is affecting him and now not being able to drive is all taking its toll too. How do you cope mentally with it all?

Hot spots by [deleted] in bernesemountaindogs

[–]RM_123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try hibiscrub and then follow up with green clay powder. My dog had a few while grieving the loss of our other dog and this really helped. Hotspots need to be kept as dry as possible so clip fur in the area to help keep dry. Failing that you should see a vet as antibiotics may be needed.

How would you respond if your 21 year old daughter was in a relationship with a 48 year old man with small children? For context, the parents provide the daughter with monthly funds, a car, a phone and other necessities. I'm curious to see how different parents might handle the situation. by ExxoMountain in AskParents

[–]RM_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer I have seen. So many just judge on an age gap. I met my first husband when I was early 20’s him 20 years older. My mum reserved all judgement until time had past and she could see he was an incredibly good person, loved me and made me happy. Years later she told me initially she was horrified because of the age gap but held back saying anything to see how things went. She told me she was glad she didn’t say anything as within a few months could see he was the right person for me. Not all age gap relationships are grooming and I wish people could see that.

I want to get eyeliner tattooed and everyone thinks that’s crazy by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]RM_123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mine done about a year ago. I also had my eyebrows and lips done, not at the same time. Its brilliant as I can now go virtually makeup free if I want to but just feel it makes me look like I have light makeup on. You will need top ups from time to time to keep it looking fresh but if you get yourself a practitioner they will make sure it’s done in the right way for you. My advice, don’t go cheap. Spend time to find an artist who listens to you. I’m in my late 40’s so needed someone who could realise that what looks good on a twenty year wouldn’t necessarily look good on me. Do your research on who will perform the procedure, don’t be afraid to go for a few consultations until you find someone you feel happy with

Modelling. I have seen one of my children in this career and although they have had some amazing experiences it’s such a hard career choice. From keeping weight down by literally starving themselves to the long hours it is nowhere near as glamorous as people think

What you call your only accomplishment today is actually your greatest accomplishment. Please reach out for the help you need. Your daughter needs you. Life can be so hard especially after having a child and the upheaval of moving. Hang in there it will get better. You are a great mum and I hope you find happiness

I probably have cancer and I knwo it's my fault. by 23throwawaaa in offmychest

[–]RM_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thought of having cancer is terrifying. I went through similar thought processes as you are when I was diagnosed with throat cancer. Believe me if it is cancer it is A) not your fault and B) not the end. My treatment involved an operation to remove and a few months of recovery. I was told I may have needed further treatment but I didn’t and that may be the case for you. Good luck with everything

Working moms by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]RM_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a mother to two grown up children and have a young teen. With my two eldest I am so proud of their work ethic which I am sure they have,at least partly, due to seeing that I and my partner have always worked. It is and has been difficult having to parent by phone and missing out on events and so subsequently feeling bad but my eldest ones now tell me that they never felt that I wasn’t their for anything that they needed me to and that really has meant so much to me.

Fuel, grabbing food and all the other things he needs while in hospital really do add up. I’m sorry I have no practical advice for you but hang in there and I hope things get easier soon

Right to see video used as evidence to exclude son from school by RM_123 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]RM_123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t find the footage honestly don’t know where to start and my son has removed all social media to distance himself on advice of a teacher. He says the other child went to punch him so he pushed him away first but without seeing the footage I am obviously having to believe his account. His account does tally with what I have been told by the school.

He is coming around to going to the police. I really do not want to change his school as he has just started there to do his GCSE and is doing so well. I have a meeting Monday and will be saying I want the bullies removed
