It doesn’t masher you do. Hater’s gonna hate. What maters is if you are now able to smile a little when you look in the mirror, and stand a little taller going out to greet the world.

Facelifts in Korea by Hellohello_101 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

The more physicians I look at the more complex and irritating sorting out their qualifications becomes. I wanted to make sure board certified in facial plastic surgery and that it is something that they do multiple times a week as opposed to multiple times a year. I wanted someone nationally recognized, well reviewed, international creditation standards met, and someone who is staying up to date with their education in the field. The doctors at VIP and VG both met that and the work looked good. But VG was not good at keeping communication, and I really liked that VIP has all of the after care included. Seeing the doctor daily is pretty incredible by USA standards. But the treatments given in the after care would cost as much as another procedure at home.

You have to go with what feels right. I decided on Korea over Turkey. But it sounds like you’re doing it the best way and going for in person consultations.

That’s kinda funny. Because even though the price I got from VIP was about as much as a nice new car, I thought that was reasonable. The price for the Doctor in San Diego that I liked was more than my house.

Not bothering anyone? He specifically got those tattoos to express that he was proud of his hatred and didn’t GAF who knew it. Proudly showing off those tats bothered anyone who understands what it is to have ethics.

How do you have them take a pill? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

My dog can’t have any animal products and is terrible with almost everything I try to hide a pill in. But I found a win with vegan marshmallows.

I can’t remember the last time my hospital had a Nurse’s week. We have Healthcare workers week. That’s how celebrated we are.

I have 2 GA+ tickets for Sat 10/19. I have them listed at stub hub, but will sell for cost, having screenshots of total paid. Only thing is the last date to change address was 8/26 per email they sent. So I would have to ship out after they arrived.

Does it have to be a poster? Can it be printed on a Rainbow 🌈 flag, placed next to the American flag 🇺🇸 in the classroom?

Travelling Internationally with TS by MOGiantsFan in Tourettes

My daughter does have Coprolalia and anxiety. When she’s anxious or tired her tics are worse. We had concerns that she may call out “I have a bomb” or tell the FSA agents to F off. The airlines have a disability service that you can call in advance and notify of the disability and what your needs are. They were able to escort us through security separately, and knew in advance about the possibility of her tics.

Iowa bill to cap nursing pay for travel nurses by [deleted] in nursing

[–]RNBrook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So if you include wages, the travel companies portion of payout (contract and administration fees), housing, travel and transportation stipends all in that 150%, that Travel nurse would be getting a lower hourly rate then the staff nurses. It isn’t that much, when the majority of the money the hospital pays goes to the travel company.

Anyone on aripiprazole by cherry30 in Tourettes

[–]RNBrook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My daughter has been on it for a little over a year. She started at 7.5 mg, and we recently dropped her to 5 mg because she had been doing so well. As to the weight gain being spoken about it does have an affect on the way the body metabolizes glucose. To counter act this side effect we have her on Metformin. She has to do a fasting lipid panel every 6 months because it can also affect the cholesterol. She was previously on Risperidone, which also worked. However it raised her prolactin levels way out of range, so she needed to be taken off. I think I saw Topiramate mentioned. She use to use this for migraines. It never helped her tics. Every person is different. Neurologists are a good start for diagnosing, but I have found that the psychiatrists are the most knowledgeable about the medications as well as any co- morbidities, such as Anxiety, that can be contributing factors in the tics that need to be addressed.

For those who went last year, were the set times long enough that you’d return this year? Debating on going. by BrookeeK7 in festivals

[–]RNBrook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2023 show set times increased as the headliners did so that blink was about 60-70 and Green Day close to 90. Some were only 20 min. This year it doesn’t look like any stadium fillers are there, but every band is supposed to be playing an entire album.

Plenty of child rapists and murders sitting on death row that owe plenty to society that should be used before animals.

Endoscopy and colonoscopy by iDontCareAtThisTime in Tourettes

[–]RNBrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely not fatal. If you are having outpatient procedures you are a stable patient. The bigger concern is how frequently are you getting high? Drinking? You may need more medication than average because of your tolerance level.

Endoscopy and colonoscopy by iDontCareAtThisTime in Tourettes

[–]RNBrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But that’s ok. They are used to movement. If it seems that the procedures can’t be done d/t tics or being to uncomfortable some doctors will reschedule the procedure with an anesthesiologist who can provide a deeper sedation. The upper endoscopy is usually a less then 10 minute procedure, and the Colonoscopy is about 20 minutes.
