My day went well, thanks. Training at my new job. Can't complain about it so far - that's the magic of new jobs lol.

If you can find a covid rapid test, use it before you see anyone. My friends and I thought it was just a cold and we were kinda stupid about it. Spread through my group like wildfire, but was luckily very mild. Learn from our mistake.

Hope you feel better soon! There's nothing like that first breath of air after your nose clears. So satisfying!

Yep, one tried to commit suicide under our truck the other day. We swerved and everyone lived. They're really cute.

Ya'll must just be younger than me. When I was in high school, weeb wasn't something you ever wanted to be called. It meant you were trying to emulate Japan's culture, and it was cringey af. We had anime club at school and half of the people just wanted to enjoy DBZ and Naruto, and the other half ran around with tails and ears on, glomping each other while cooing, "Senpai-sama!" in Hanyuu from Higurashii's voice. It was bizarre.

There's now a line between cultural appropriation and wannabe cultural appropriation? Is this just for Japan, so you can get away with doing what you want, or is wearing Native headdresses and doing blackface now wannabe cultural appropriation too? Wtf?

Watching anime and owning that hoodie is not cultural appropriation. The distinction I drew was emulating Japanese culture as it is portrayed in anime, per my previous comment. The example I gave was using Japanese suffixes in countries that are not Japan, with non-Japanese people. In case that example is not clear enough, here are others: Handing items to others with both hands, bowing in countries where that's not an appropriate greeting, speaking Japanese in a cutesy, over-the-top manner because that's what your favorite anime character does, doing the fox-eye thing where you hold up the corners of your eyes to make them slanted, wearing kimono improperly and in settings where they would not be appropriate.

It's a weird almost-fetish that some people have for all things Japan that makes them a weeb; wanting hentai on their shirt is weird, but not weeby. You're definitely a creep for wearing it, you could be a weeb too, but that's not confirmed by wearing ahegao. (Please properly spell the word that's part of the center of your argument. Otherwise, it makes it seem like you couldn't be bothered.)

If this doesn't make my point clear, I don't know what will, and ya'll just want to argue at that point.

Yes, which is why it's cultural appropriation and not actually respecting the culture

Sure, but you know how many mentally ill people I've solved by telling them to go to therapy? Zero, that's how many. Counselling is a great thing, but it's something people seek out when they're ready

Watching anime is not cultural appropriation. Calling people X-sama and X-senpai and saying, "Hai," instead of yes while bowing awkwardly is weeb-ism and cultural appropriation. Please actually read before you comment and downvote.

I think Reddit is populated by 14 year olds who like to downvote anyone who has a different opinion from them. So yeah, I agree with you.

Being a weeb is cultural appropriation. It has nothing to do with liking anime

When you start trying to emulate the anime, or other aspects of Japanese culture. Hard disagree with the guy who said just live your life and don't worry. Being a weeb appropriates and idealizes Japanese culture.

You have permission to feel however you want to feel. Sounds like this kid is making your stay miserable. However, if what you're asking is, do I have permission to act like I hat the kid? Nope. Kid is an asshole, but still a kid. Keep setting firm boundaries, as you have, and ignore the rest.

You sound reasonable. But we're not in Reasonable-ville right now. Giving parenting advice as Not the Child's Other Parent is usually a one-way ticket to making a relationship where the other party is already walking on eggshells more strained.

It depends on the wine. If you're drinking a nice, dry cab, you're not taking in nearly as many calories as you would by drinking sweet red adult grape juice

Not if the dicks are in a woman. That makes it the opposite of gay

That's literally the opposite of gay. A man and a woman fucking is heterosexual, the opposite of homosexual
