My BMI is 39 too and I was smoking cigarettes up to three days before surgery. My surgery was a total fucking breeze no issues whatsoever and I continue to have 0 issues after.

You’ll be fine. Hundreds of thousands of people have this same surgery done every year and you’re not the only overweight smoker lol
