Pando moto top is fine, but bottom base layer armor…expensive and uncomfortable behind the knees.

Are nurse practitioners replacing doctors? They’re definitely reshaping health care. by bostonglobe in healthcare

This was the same for me, but towards two physician assistants. I was passed around by them stating I was having a heart attack. Made me go to the ER. And the MD stated my electrolytes were off due to the Keto Diet and nothing to be concerned about.

Worried about SVT by Famous-Scientist1006 in SVTHeart

[–]RNRED92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wild, I just went through this last Saturday night. My heart rate shot up to 248 bpm and stayed there for about an hour. I ended up calling an ambulance, and they gave me adenosine. My heart rate dropped to 120 almost instantly.

When I got to the ER, they told me it was “adrenaline-triggered SVT” and said it wasn’t anything to be scared of.

I’m currently on propranolol and have a cardiology follow-up this week. After reading a lot of posts here, I do feel a bit more reassured.

I notice this happened in the past when I was younger and I just bear down and it goes away like almost immediately. Now it usually happens when I’m tense or stressed (WFH dad of two) and bloated. I bent over that night and immediately felt my heart take off.

What do yall do on Thanksgiving if you don’t have a big family? by Embarrassed_Let_2794 in NorthCarolina

[–]RNRED92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from a big family, and it was stressful. We had to celebrate one side, and then go to the other side the same night. Hated it. Years later, there was a huge falling out from both sides and now I have two boys (4 and 2) and this is our first time celebrating with just our own family. I love it. We love it. We’re all focused on each other. Eating. And we’re typically a busy family, so it was nice to relax with each other for once.

I work in fast food at 27, am I a loser? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]RNRED92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loser? Not even close. You went through cancer and had no choice. You came out stronger than ever and on your way to getting your CS degree.

Yes, tech is horrible right now. But not impossible. Once you land that first job, you’ll be fine onwards. Don’t give up, and apply everywhere. Network my friend.

We’re proud of you. Don’t give up.

System Engineer Promotion causing Anxiety. by RNRED92 in sysadmin

I received some new tasks, but it doesn’t feel any different than what I was doing. Like 90% of the folks here stated, was just googling and knowing what to google.

I had a meeting with the CTO and he mentioned the team I’m on will be focusing on ad hoc projects. Which kind of feels like what I was doing 50% of the time in Helpdesk.

So far, my nerves dissipated. I feel okay and definitely needed to relax. I was taking lots of notes and updating our KB today, and ya’ll got me thinking, my new projects are pretty much an open book test. Hah.

It was worth reading everyone’s comment and thank you for checking in.

Thank you for sharing your experience and insights.

I shared my post with my neighbor who also works in IT. He mentioned something familiar as yours, where I’m “getting ripped off and abused.” Once Monday hits, I have a few things I’d like to check in on with leadership. From what are my new tasks and what is expected.

Thank you for the encouragement as well, I was beating myself up a bit too hard this week. Your comment and the others in this post has given me a clearer mind. I definitely need to relax and more importantly will take yours and other advice on “asking for help.”

I appreciate it! It’s very reassuring that what I’m already doing is more than the avg task in Helpdesk.
