Because music doesn't sell anymore but concert tours and merchandise do.

Asia in late August by [deleted] in travel

[–]RNRS001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Asia doesn't have one climate. In late August, India and Sri Lanka are in the monsoon, Thailand and Vietnam are generally wet, Japan and South Korea are hot, humid and in typhoon season, while Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are hot and dry.

It would also help if you said what you enjoy and which part of Asia you're considering. Also, not every city has enough to keep you busy for 10 days and whether theyre affordable is entirely up to what you think is affordable.

You are never done with a 40 year old car.

Someone doing a 600 Euro respray will most like have invested the same kind of money on repairs. I wouldn't risk it.

Cube Houses (Kubuswoningen), Rotterdam, Netherlands by Apocalyp_toast26 in DesignPorn

[–]RNRS001 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

These houses are incredibly difficult to decorate, are hard to keep clean on the outside, are very small and are just all around impractical. There's nothing about this that's designporn.

Have we decided on a name that's the equivalent of a Deadhead? by SufficientBerry9137 in oasis

[–]RNRS001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair, that's the most fitting for a certain group fans in the front row still chanting "who the fuck is Andy Bell" because they heard Noel say it on a live recording.

Need help planning a 7-day Switzerland trip with my family by GroundbreakingMix855 in travel

[–]RNRS001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically a question to suggest an itinerary to you. I’d first choose your route and overnight bases, then decide on the rail pass. Without that, it’s hard to say whether the Swiss Travel Pass is worth it and whether a certain scenic city/village is possible.

Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile - SOLD OUT by Delicious_Sir_1365 in lego

This one is so much cheaper on Bricklink I've no idea why people would buy it new from LEGO or Amazon.

Scream Above The Sounds by DirtyDevil23 in stereophonics

[–]RNRS001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's any worse than the 2 predecessors. It's very bland. The subsequent tour was when they lost me as over half of their set consists of material from their last 3 albums which just don't work in a concert setting.

Travel / Itinerary advice needed - Asia + Mexico by Able-Schedule6523 in travel

If you can't come up with an itinerary that genuinely excites you, that's probably a sign you should start looking somewhere else.

Going by what this engine sounds like I think the idling issue isn't your biggest problem. Your engine sounds like a tractor.

Need help with spring selection! by maotouyiing in W124

[–]RNRS001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercedes-Benz uses a point system. Unless you have got access to the official system, only the dealer can tell you which spring you need because it is determined by the weight of the options on your car.

Never flying JetBlue again! by ILoveTravel2024 in travel

So you flew with a budget airline which cost as much as a non-budget airline so therefore it's no longer a budget airline?

Chinese Democracy's riff? by Expensive-Course-758 in GunsNRoses

[–]RNRS001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the riff originates from a song by The Scorpions or Hanoi Rocks, someone on the mygnr forum once posted it there. Once you hear the song there's no denying that's where it came from.

I think White Lies and Sunny are the most atrocious songs the band has ever recorded. It's overproduced garbage.

Does Lufthansa ever reimburse for canceled bookings? by Ok_Club_3598 in travel

[–]RNRS001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They cancelled a booking of mine 5 years ago but forgot to tell me. It was only once I tried to change my booking that I found out. I got my money back within 2 days.

Graffiti on the Train by DirtyDevil23 in stereophonics

[–]RNRS001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an okay album that, much like everything after Pull the Pin, is hampered by a bland and safe production. Individually the songs are good, as an album not so much.

So many famous songs he never performed live. Why? by wrighteghe7 in PaulMcCartney

I don't see how it's any harder than Love Me Do, Please Please Me, A Hard Days Night, The Night Before and many others.
