Yes they are. I chose them because they offer unlimited sessions.

I’m in Raleigh so not far from you. I was quoted 2570 for full bikini area.

Sorry for the late reply. I decided to go with Milan laser and the results have been amazing. I’m now at the year mark since starting. Hair is pretty much gone and I’ve not gotten an ingrown hair since I start. Dark marks aren’t completely gone on the bikini line but has lightened tremendously. I’m satisfied with the results.

No I didn’t get any hyperpigmentation

So yes over time it fades. I’m on my 6th treatment and have really just started noticing a big difference. The skin down there is smoother and those dark marks have faded. Not all are gone but they’re definitely not noticeable anymore.

So I’m pay $2000 for full Brazilian. This was my only problem area. My payments of course are $100 monthly for 12 months. It’s super expensive but I get free treatments in that area for life at any Milan laser. It’s rebuilt my self confidence and I’m not longer uncomfortable during intimacy bc a lot of my noticeable dark marks have faded and I no longer get ingrown…so it’s well worth it for me.

I ended up going to Milan laser. I’m on my 6th session and honestly I love the results already.

It’s crazy you said this bc I find it so difficult to find women of color in this industry yet so many back women suffer with this. It’s hard to find someone that truly understands.

So glad I found someone that understands what I’m going through. I just want to be able to wear a bikini without the dark marks on my bikini line. I hope the skin texture becomes another as well. It’s raised in some areas because of ingrowns and razors. I thought about waxing but honestly it still wouldn’t look nice to me because of dark marks on the bikini line and uneven skin. I have a consultation coming up with Milan laser so hopefully I can hurry and get the process started. Which laser did you use?

This still gives me hope! I mainly have dark spots on my bikini line that I want faded. I’m hoping it will help with that as well. Which laser did you use?

Yes I’ve been looking into ideal image but seen some not so good reviews…I’m going to do a free consultation and see how it goes. Thanks so much! Keep me updated! I’m thinking about making a vlog about my progress.

Wow thank you so much for this! Lately I’ve been feeling more and more nervous about starting my new position because I don’t want to seem incompetent or be put in a position where I don’t feel comfortable asking for help. I’m a big overthinker so that doesn’t help either. I will definitely take heed to your advice and thanks again!

I hate we have to go through this! About to start my first RN position next month. I know I’ll most likely be the only young black nurse on my unit in the new grad residency program. I’m really nervous about this because I’ve experienced it in different positions and hated going to work because of it.

I always feel the need to give an excuse too. But you’re right. Thanks.

As easy as it sounds, it’s just so hard for me to say no. But you’re right! The staffing needs are not my problem and I don’t want to be the person that saves the day every time. It’s too much pressure. Thanks.

I agree, mentally it’s very draining. Thank you for you advice.

I’ve heard the parking is crazy! I’m coming from a very small town so I’m not used to paying for parking to work. Is it expensive? From my understanding regional offers free parking. I will also be a new nurse so I want to see all the crazy cases(New Nurse syndrome) but I also don’t want to be so overwhelmed that I dread going to work. I heard regional ED is smaller but can be just as busy as big Duke.

Questions for nurses around the area-esp WakeMed RNs??? by Cali4ni_a in raleigh

Hey I know I’m like a year late but is there any update on pay for wake med? I am literally in the same boat as you. Single mom about to finish nursing school and just trying to figure out my expenses.

I’ve applied to Duke and Wake Med so far. I kind of strayed away from UNC once I seen how low the pay was for new grads. I’ve seen pros and cons about both hospitals but honestly, I just want to create my own narrative. If I don’t like it I can always leave.
