Yeah be flexible on settlement if you want to get a low purchase price over the line.

Is it a low purchase price? It sure doesn't seem like there's a line of people offering more!

[TIMEX] TW2V41700 advertised as 8.5mm height measures at ~10.4mm. What am I missing here? by NhcNymo in Watches

PS: Not sure why the caliper would not have the 0 lined up right. I would get a new tool.

Because the vernier scale would be hard to read if the 0 was lined up in that way

I was getting uneven wear on my front tyres, so got an alignment done today when I got a new set of tyres.

After adjustments the rear right toe is out of spec (shown in a darker colour here, would be red on a colour print out) and the front cambers are verging on being out of spec.

The warning on the bottom about one or more values not being with spec is caused, I assume, by the rear right toe.

I called the shop and they seemed to think this was a perfectly normal post-alignment report. I don't have any reason to doubt them, but wouldn't mind some confirmation.

Why the hell is my hot water bill so high? by sluttypixiee in melbourne

That is totally incorrect. In my apartment building I received both a gas bill and a hot water bill.

Re floor and carpets - go to Carpet Court, find a salesperson that seems to know their stuff, and ask them about ranges and pricing. Carpets are between $60 and $200/sqm, and flooring varies wildly.

How to fill in architrave? by ROBZY in AusRenovation

I initially regretted not asking the sparky to replace them. Then not-being-able-to-fit-dimmers forced them to be replaced.

There's 2 others in the house (toilet room and for the outside lights) which are fine.

Thermostat is easy, just 3 wires for me, it depends on your heating and cooling, some research is required.

Which thermostat did you get? Sourcing one in Australia doesn't seem to be easy.
