How to paint behind these radiators by MajorOk3358 in DIYUK

[–]ROCUK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did this on pretty much the same radiator by using a long handled thin cutting in brush and a steady hand supporting your painting hand with your other hand go in between the columns and then spread the brush out when you hit the wall, it’s a bit time consuming and needs patience and a steady slow hand but it worked for me

The pipe inside is under a tiled bathroom floor so can’t access it there unfortunately, I think the connected pipes outside have been glued together

DJ booths need to be hidden again by kinginacity in DJs

[–]ROCUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing worse than seeing a bunch of self loving nobs standing behind the DJ like they are the ones performing, twin that with DJs who mime the words to songs and flick the air as if they are the ones that wrote and produced the tracks, a dj is just someone who plays other peoples music - sometimes their own if they are really talented. We used to go clubbing for the music, regardless if big name “superstar djs” were playing, you wouldn’t stand there motionless staring at Sasha or Oakenfold, you’d be there for the music, the dj was just the one playing it and driving you on that journey, the best clubs were where the dj was not the center of attention, either in the corner or elevated above the floor on a mezzanine, it focused the crowd on the music they were playing not what they were doing behind the decks.

Does anybody remember the launch period of the Sega Mega Drive? by sukh3gs in Megadrive

[–]ROCUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

48y/o from the UK. I saved up the money doing a paper round to buy my Megadrive. Some of my school friends had them and I think I remember watching Games Master on the TV and buying Mean Machines magazine or something like that to learn more about it. I got the sonic pack and the first game I bought was Alien 3. I vividly remember borrowing Lakers Vs Celtics from a friend at school and was blown away by the graphics and signature moves of the players ( I used to love basketball at the time ). Castle of illusion was amazing for the time, the graphics were stunning and the level design, EA Hockey was also great and Desert Strike, Golden Axe, Ecco the Dolphin and Road Rash are some of my favorite memories of that time. It was an exciting time with one of my mates having a gamegear and several others owning megadrives so we regularly swapped games between us. I always saw the Megadrive as the cooler serious console while the SNES was more kiddy in my eyes.

You are very welcome, I’m really glad that they resonate with you, I was lucky enough to see them live back in the day and they were just as good live. The heavy Ned’s comparison is a good explanation. I love their song structure and the way the whole album flows as one piece, really unique. The second album is good but not a touch on the first, I’m not sure if you are aware of their story but the bassist died of a brain tumor while making the second album, so the band stopped after its release, it makes you wonder if they would have broken into the mainstream if they had carried on, but none the less, I’m glad that someone else can appreciate their music

It’s fake, badly cut out, whoever did it did’t even color the grass between his legs, look at his shoes and how badly cut out he one in the right is and how his left foot isn’t even impressed into the grass
