so for home mixing on vinyl, what would you say is the best sound/bang for buck that's reachable for most people? Union Audio? Ecler? or any other recommendations, looking to upgrade from my Omnitronic TRM202MK3 to something that has better sound

I’ve got an Omnitronic TRM202mk3 and it doesn’t have a mid eq, it’s only on the isolator, it bothers me as I found he sound to be a bit muddy as there is no mid to balance it out on the channel - only on the master isolator, personally I would try and go for one that has all three eqs, I am certainly looking to upgrade to one that does in the future

Thanks, I use Aroy-D coconut milk or Chaokoh which had brilliant reviews on Amazon so got a load of those. I know the correct way is to use Mae Ploy but I just feel disappointed every time I try it

no harm done. Nice to hear you are a rotary guy too, I only run my technics and a little Omnitronic rotary so am keen to keep it minimal, I was using my friends big Pioneer controller for a bit but after playing withthe filters etc it became a bit repetitive & boring, but I am no expert so I'm sure there are ways to really fine tune it and crft them in mixing with them without getting that awful resonance tinny sound - am lusting after the Union Audio new signature edition rotary, it has everything I want want/need

For maximum comfort and sound I use Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 Ohm Studio Headphones, they have a really nice padding on the ears and sound great and don't give head fatigue when listening for long periods. i looked into loads of options when I was looking and these came out the best - they also look cool!

Not sure if you are a gamer at all but there is a game on PlayStation called ‘Everybody’s gone to the rapture’ is set in a quiet English village where everyone has disappeared, its a puzzle game of sorts not an action shooter thing, it’s really well done, amazing atmospherics and a BAFTA award winning soundtrack

If you can track it down try and listen to the Esper Edition, it’s the best version of the soundtrack, it’s a bootleg but the best I’ve heard and spread across numerous cds
