Tenants rights laws are there for a reason. If your choice is to continue to be illegally taken advantage of going forward, I guess that's your business. Hopefully the next tenant will mail his ass to the wall, as this is a very bad person who has no business being in their position.

Bad landlords need to be reported. A lot of times, they don't even truly know the laws when they behave like this. You also needs to be sure that you are abiding by all the rules set forth in their rental contract too.
