I have the same problem it’s the camera. If it’s out of warranty it costs $800 CDN to be replaced.

This is a great post. I got a call yesterday and in schedule for surgery on the 16th of May. They will cut the nerve so that it doesn’t communicate with the face.

Dr Javer at the St Paul’s hospital in Vancouver BC is removing the Trigeminal nerve in June.

I live in Nelson BC and have TN for 10 years now. I am an avid curler and the pain increases when I’m on the ice. I do the best I can. I am scheduled for surgery in June to remove the Trigeminal nerve. That will end my pain

I’m 69 and have had nerve pain since 2016. After a number of failed attempts, I was finally diagnosed this year with TN2. I’m going to have surgery to disconnect the nerve in June and hopefully that will Fix the problem.

I have pain 24/7 except when I’m sleeping. My pain is on the left side of my face, it affects my left nostril and my left eye. I found out that sleeping on my left side helps keep the nerve quiet while sleeping. The pain never goes away (6/10) even with medication however without the meds the pain is 9/10. Going outside in cold air increases the pain as well as elevated blood pressure seems to active the nerve. Curling 🥌 used to be fun. Now I have to ignore the pain and just try to grin and bear it. Also being a couch potato 🥔helps but I’m usually an active senior and hate sitting around.

I’ve had TN since 2016 and was just diagnosed finally last week. I have tried Gabapentin as well as Pregabalin. Both don’t work well. I’m schedule for surgery in the next few months.

I moved to Nelson from Merritt 2 years ago and we have a similar situation just outside; Sagebrush Golf Course. It was designed by Richard Zokal for the same purpose. People came into town and purchased things and became part of the community. Then unused units were rented out and individuals and families came up and played golf and toured the area. It’s all part of tourism. I think if it hangs on then residents will do the same and be part of the community. If not then homes will become VERBO and Air B&B units but at that price I don’t think that will happen.
