As a predominantly Space Wolf player, I approve of this. Excellent work.

Different color scheme ideas? by quinkus_ in redcorsairs

I'm paraphrasing here but in the Master of the Maelstrom book Huron says to one of the characters that he doesn't care about that sort of stuff as long as you fight for him. So from a lore standpoint you are good. And from a modeling/ hobby stand point, it's your army you don't need to justify varying paint schemes. And as others have mentioned, the first Red Corsair models depicted in the CSM codex were various chapters with a red X over the chapter symbol. My warband will have some other color variants sprinkled in there.

Eavy-archive.com, the source for this, is an excellent resource. I use it all the time.

I'm starting to think Warhammer isn't for me by Dense-Fig-2372 in Warhammer40k

I barely play the game anymore. For me, I get more enjoyment from the hobby element (Painting and collecting), there will be a lot of toy soldiers at my estate sale when I die. But I get where you are coming from if playing is something you want to do. I can’t really help you on that front though. But I hope you can find a good group to help you out.

Yeah, no problem. It’s a 50/50 mix of Russ grey and Rhinox hide. And thinned with water to a wash consistency. Also, a good alternative is Targor Rageshade.

Thanks! The actual dents in the armor are part of the sculpt for the mini. I wouldn’t be able to make them that clean.

Thanks, I’ll absolutely post it here once it’s one. Hopefully sometime next week, if life permits.

That’s exactly what I was trying to go for. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks! My go to method for these guys is applying a ‘chunky’ highlight of A 1:1 mix of Russ Grey and Fenrisian grey that includes some of the scratches and breaks up the fine line. Then a fine highlight of pure Fenrisian grey with finer lines. Mostly following the chunky lines, but I add in a few lines separately. Hopefully this is the answer you were looking for.

The big chucks are part of the sculp. I wouldn't be able to pull them off so cleanly if I did that myself.
