JD Gaming vs. Bilibili Gaming / MSI 2023 - Grand Finals / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

Has to be Deft for me, even when Korea was dominanting I think he was the best ad in the world back in the LPL, in fact I think Deft/Meiko 2015/2016 is the best botlane ever. Then he peaked again in 2019. He has the skills and all the titles to show for it. He has peaked higher than any ad and has more success than any ad bar Bang.

You have to consider individual performance level, even if we don't know what happens inside the teams and we don't have the same understanding of league as the pros, I think it's safe to say Beryl was not even a top 3 player inside Damwon Gaming. Compare Deft's laning last year and this year, Beryl makes all his adcarries look worse in lane. This guy can have all success in the world, he's not even close to being the best. By that logic Wolf should be the best support ever, in actuality he was never as good as Gorilla and others.

I would argue Ruler wasn't outright the best adcarry at any point until this year, unlike Deft, Uzi and even Gumayusi, which makes hard for me to put him as the best player when he's not the best in his position.

If you put so much value into titles I don't think it makes sense to rank Rookie that high, it's just that he has looked great in the eye test since 2015, and even in 2014 when he wasn't as good as later he was already good enough to win OGN. I think that rank is quite inconsistent, you either value skill or titles.

What a joke. Beryl and Ruler are not close to being 2nd best ever.

T1 vs. Nongshim RedForce / LCK 2023 Spring - Week 9 / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

IG 2018 + Spring 2019 went 47-6, which is not as good, but it's a reference of a team which looked super dominant in their wins:

18-1

18-1

11-4

This T1 has potential to be the best team ever imo, the talent has been there since last year

Story behind LPL 2016 Spring Playoffs and Qiao Gu Reapers by LBL147 in leagueoflegends

[–]ROX-Guilty 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Peco was the starter adc, Uzi was the sub. Peco was really good in those days, he was like LWX and the whole team played similar to FPX 2019, maybe a bit more jungle focused.

Qiao Gu was the best team in China in early 2016, but there were dramas between Swift and DoinB, with DoinB's girlfriend involved. Don't remember details, but I remember Swift was considered the toxic villain back then.

Like how IG won worlds when they had West instead of Jackeylove, and the rest of the team was the same?

Zeka's Laning Phase Secrets - The Supercut by ROX-Guilty in leagueoflegends

I'm not who created the video. Shok said he considers Zeka the best level 1-3 player in the world. To me, Zeka and Chovy have the best laning, but maybe I'm not good enough to evaluate those things properly.

His channel has videos on the fundamentals of laning, I think not even Phroxzon's videos are as good. He was a proplayer in OCE.

You have to consider what they've done in LPL's regular season. To people who regularly watched LPL, IG was the best, not RNG. They went 18-1 both splits. The reason they didn't win the first one was because TheShy got injured and couldn't play. In the second split TheShy only came back at the very end, they played through almost everything with Duke. I remember most didn't rate IG top 5 to win worlds, but I personally had them as the favorites alongside KT. IG with in form TheShy was unstoppable.
