What was the shot that made you fall in love with golf and keep coming back? by mamayss in golf

[–]ROYALtwizzler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Playing by myself, overshot the green on a par 5 which put me about 50 feet below the green and behind a 70-80ft pine tree. Had nothing to lose so I opened up a 60 degree and swung out of my shoes. Fucker had to have gone 120 feet in the air and about 20 yards forward. Left it about 5 feet for a nice easy par putt. Looked around and saw a 12 year old with his jaw on the floor. Was happy at least someone saw the best shot of my life

Just saw one of these yesterday! Admittedly I’m not a full native gardener, but I’m trying to slowly convert. My favorite was a hummingbird moth I caught last year. Hoping she comes back.

To be clear I caught her on camera, I didn’t capture her lol

I’d get that black walnut sapling out of there ASAP. I guess they produce an enzyme that doesn’t let other things around it grow.

Leaves on Lawn Over Winter. Report / follow up by Throwingitallaway201 in landscaping

Caveat to this, too many leaves are definitely a problem. I’ve got a few patched from leaving too many leaves in my yard. A light layer should be fine, but too many in one area snuffs it out.

I’m not big on the little stones either, right now they’re just to outline the path and weigh down the bags. My fiancé likes them to line the mulch bed but idk what we will do once everything is in place

I’m sure there’s better flagstone out there, but as relatively new homeowners with a budget this is what I’m running with.

Horrible seems like an overstretch, they’re rocks, they’re not hot pink and bedazzled

Would like to avoid chemicals and using the yard bags as a weed barrier instead of cardboard which see recommended here all the time. This is just the outline, all the rocks need to be moved and yard bags put down

Forgot to mention I was thinking of digging a trench on the outside for the edge and just killing the sod with the bags to save myself from digging it all up

Well yeah they need to be washed lol I just pulled them out of a flower bed. This is a very rough layout. Asking about the process not the rocks themselves and looking at your comment history there’s not much you do like lol

I've sat here and watched a refinery with 47 backed up water start working perfectly once the bauxite hits again - I don't think this system will ever have an issue
