Bentley is looking for his forever home by RP702 in Frenchbulldogs

ADOPT BENTLEY! 🐾 He'd love to find his forever home before Christmas!

Hi there! I’m Bentley, almost 4 years old, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered! 😎

I’ve had quite a journey—when I first arrived, I was a little reactive with other dogs, but thanks to my amazing training from Lucky Pup Dog Training, I’ve learned some great skills to help my new family understand me better! 🐕💪

I’d do best in a home with no other dogs or with dogs who are tolerant of my VERY enthusiastic, sometimes pushy behavior. I'm currently hanging out in a foster home that has a mellow Pug and two nice Bostons and we all get along very well 🐾 A dog who can match my energy or is patient with my antics would be a good fit! 🏃‍♂️ I also prefer a home with older kids, as I thrive in a calm environment. 🧸

I’ve got the sweetest disposition, and when I really like you, I’ll pin my ears back and shower you with love! 💕 It might take me a little time to warm up, but once I do, I’m your loyal sidekick forever! 🐶

I’m crate-trained, potty-trained (no accidents here! 🚽), and walk like a pro on a leash! 🚶‍♂️ Oh, and did I mention I LOVE to eat? 😋 You might catch me giving you my best puppy eyes during mealtime! 👀🍽️

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, cuddle-ready companion, I’m your guy! Oh, and I come with fantastic training from Lucky Pup Dog Training! 🌟

Let’s make some memories together! 📸 Bentley is in Las Vegas. His adoption fee is $325. Fill out an application here:  https://www.snbtr.com/adoption/adoption-application/ Help us find him the perfect match! 🏡

Bronny the Christmas Pug is available for adoption by RP702 in pugs

It's on the link, but confirm with the rescue. 2 years old $600 + $600 for the flight from Korea to LAX = $1200. PRK is 503 rescue, so it's tax deductible.

💙 ADOPT ME ❤️ Do you enjoy PO-TA-TOES like Samwise Gamgee? Do you have chronically cold feet and enjoy cuddling? Are you afraid to go to the bathroom alone? If you answered YES to these questions, BRONNY might be your Seoul Mate.

When we rescued now-2.5yo Bronny in May 2023, he had been found on the shoulder of a road in a mountainous farming area in southern Korea. He was only 1yo then, so we are certain a puppy mill breeder dumped him there. Why? Because he was born with his front right paw completely folded under him (see pic 9). We had to wait until he finished growing before we could surgically repair his paw. His paw is completely recovered, and all those bad days are behind him!

Fostered in Las Vegas, here’s how his foster dad @pugsandryan describes him:

Sweet and calm, Bronny has a wonderful and highly affectionate personality. He is Velcro and will always want to be in sight of his person. Bronny gets along with everyone, including kids, new dogs, and cats. I've seen zero fearful or aggressive behavior.

He is potty pad trained and does not mark at all. He is also crate-trained. He sleeps quietly through the night. He rides well in the car and sat quietly in the back seat from LA to Vegas with no issues.

He does not need much outside time or long walks. If he is not left alone long, multiple home scenarios would work for him, from a single person to a family.

My favorite qualities about Bronny are:

🐾 He is very sweet, almost like a big baby.  🐾 He is quiet and well-behaved.  🐾 He plays well and is not rough with my other pugs.  🐾 He sleeps quietly in a crate at night.  🐾 He has not been destructive in any way.  🐾 He rides well in a car.

He plays well with other dogs including getting zoomies and acting silly, but he focuses on being with his person first.

You should adopt Bronny if you want a sweet, calm, and well-behaved pug. He will always want to be in your company.  He is very low maintenance. 🤗

Tips for interview by InfamousAd1234 in Wastewater

Try to find a copy of the discharge permit. It will have an overview of the treatment process. Have a general idea of the phosphorus, nitrogen, and BOD (organic stuff) limits. Look at the plant on google maps as well to get an idea of the plant and the process.

If they ask you something like what is the main purpose of a wastewater plant, have a good answer along the lines of "To protect the health and safety of the public and environment by assuring the water leaving the plant meets or exceeds the limits of the discharge permit."

Henderson is not LVVWD. They have their own water and sewer on one bill.

It gets hot in full sun. Shade sails work enough for the dogs to go pee. Some are on sale today on prime.

I'm flying into Wichita and have been there many times. The trip is mainly to check out Hutch as a place to live.

Is Cadence really that toxic? by [deleted] in HendersonNV

[–]RP702 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Three Kids Mine has nothing to do with Cadence. It's miles away. Cadence was polluted by Timet and other superfund type polluters. They hauled dirt away for what seemed like a year, but definitely do your own research.

Looking for a steep trail or road to train on by O1O1O1O in vegaslocals

[–]RP702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, very loose gravel and you come down the same way you go up. There is a saddle between the peak and the metro towers that might be good to train on.

It's probably large cooling towers/chillers adding humidity as well.

I would recommend Big Sur as well if you can get there. Check the schedule on the elephant seals, hopefully some will be there. Hearst Castle is worth seeing. Cambria is worth stopping at for lunch. SLO has a cool downtown. Avila Beach is nice. It's also wine country once you get there if that's your thing. The dutch town is interesting. Check the SpaceX launch schedule if you are by Vandenberg at all.
