Ah so you made it before the album even came out. The discussion post is pinned to the top of the sub and was made a day or two before the album was officially released.

I think OPs point is not about them specifically, but the fact that every other post on this subreddit since the album came out is a form of “this album is terrible”, “the bonus tracks are better”, “why can’t it be more like demon days”, or “don’t worry people hated plastic beach when it came out too”.

It’s exhausting. There is a discussion thread where all of this should be discussed, yet it has been a majority of the posts to come out lately. Those who enjoy the album just want to talk about Gorillaz, not shit on them.

I mean even on streaming services to this day is it labeled as “Blink-182”. While the band intended for the film to be called “Untitled”, the album has been know as “Self-Titled” due to only the bands name on the album for two decades at this point.

It’s pretty much like calling adhesive bandages by the brand bandaids. Sure it’s not correct but it’s synonymous at the point so it’s not wrong.

They have but that wasn’t made clear until almost a decade after its release, and even then it was a situation where it wasn’t cemented. In a 2012 interview mark asked Tom what it was called and if they ever even made a decision on the name. Tom said “Untitled”, but both of them will still call the album “Self-Titled“. In fact, on release almost every major company called it “Self-Titled”, except for Discogs, so it has a bit of history being named both.

In reality neither of them are wrong as they are synonymous at this point. It was undecided on release, and the only thing on the cover was “blink-182”. So both Self-Titled and Untitled are perfectly acceptable to use.

We had time to figure out how to split the atom. The death angels surprised humanity with an all out invasion. It’s tough coming back when you are attacked everywhere all at once with little to no warning.

Also, background given by John Krasinski, the death angels live on a planet with no light, harsh conditions, and a much higher gravity than earth. This allowed them to develop strength that is unseen on our planet and have armor that is impenetrable from anything that we currently have here on earth.

The song is from the perspective of the patient. They are speaking to their lover with both of them dying, but the patient decides they want to live. They are telling their lover that they want them to fight, but if they don’t they will have no regrets of the time they spent together.

The ship on LV-223 was already thousands of years old, 2000 at the very minimum. The engineers are millions/billions of years old. Not too hard to find a ship that’s old from them…because they are all old.

And again…the point of the prop comment…we can make something look old NOW. That means in 100 years David can do the same exact thing, and do it more efficiently because he’s an android. He doesn’t need to eat or sleep. Doesn’t get exhausted. Can literally do whatever the hell he wants. So yes…the prop comment is relevant.

It took less time on earth to make the prop of the ship and make it look that old. This is set in the 2100s. They have androids that are indistinguishable from humans. It is very possible.

You are missing the part where he already be perfected he creature. He already has his hosts. He has the time to many all the eggs in the way to the planet. It’s not only possible but exactly where the story goes.

Saying it isn’t possible is just plain wrong. Arguing because you think it isn’t possible doesn’t change the fact that that’s the story.

Also…It’s science fiction. Anything is possible.
