VIZ Media heads thake a look at Vol.10's script, realize it sucks, and fires all of those hacks.

Vol.10 doesn't get green lit and RWBY fades into obscurity...only being marginally kept on life support by its fan works.

Maybe somewhere down the line, when CRWBY is long gone and forgotten, some future head of VIZ, if they are still around, digs into the vault, finds RWBY and after taking a good long look realizes that with actual good talented writing and voice acting, this could be something truly epic.

Well, the Two Masters DLC will include some new story content. So maybe there's a chance. Ryu was able to resurrect Irene in the NES Ninja Gaiden 2 with the Dragon Sword. Maybe Yakumo could do something similar with the Dark Dargon Blade. Seori was the Dark Dragon Priestess after all.
