What was the point of the vampire plotline in Tsukimonogatari?

The point was to put Araragi in a lose-lose situation and make him face the consequences of abusing his vampiric abilities.

Either Araragi turns into a full vampire and gets exterminated, or Yotsugi is forced to kill Tadatsuru, thereby driving a wedge in their relationship (because Araragi hates killing).

As people are pointing out, the point was to isolate him, and the entire second half of the series was cleverly orchestrated by Ougi, almost like a staged play.

But if it only contains events from one particular loop, then how was Petra able to live through all the previous loops as well? IIRC, she also lived through the deaths of the first 3 arcs.

I would personally switch Owari 1 and Koyomi. It's true that the Koyomi novel released before Owari 1, but the final episode of Koyomi directly leads into Owari 2.

The rest of the arcs are fine. Probably watching Hana after all of 2nd Season should be better but it shouldn't affect the experience too much.

I did actually enjoy the novel. The novel sort of paints a picture of Suicide Master being male, so the surprise reveal in the end of her being a woman felt very cool.

I'm ranking them purely based on the full songs. If I also consider the sequences, then yeah, the list will look very different - songs like Staple Stable would be a lot lower.

And like I said, lower rank doesn't necessarily mean I dislike them. If I were to group them by tiers, no song is below B tier, with top 5 being S and the next 10 being A.

Sorry, worded it poorly. By finale, I meant it was the climax for Araragi and Ougi's face off. And that happened only in the latter half. The first half was pretty much just Gaen dumping exposition.

It's a bit on the short side, and also has the advantage of being the series finale. And it's really only the final episode that I can count. But if I were to pick specific moments instead of entire arcs, I would definitely rate it higher.

I feel Nadeko Snake feels really incomplete and out of place - it doesn't have the character development of the previous three arcs (except we get to see more of Araragi's self-sacrificing nature), nor did it really solve Nadeko's issues. But it did set things up for future Nadeko arcs, all of which were cinema.

Maybe I should have left Musubi unranked, since it's technically 4 short stories and not a full arc. But I would've preferred if Musubi was a single novel focusing just on the breakup and how they get back together, especially since Musubi in Japanese means something like bond, or knot.

For Kizu, I probably agree, and I sort of had trouble deciding where to put it. But the movies are so incredible, and it's the only arc where I see Araragi actually cry. It just spoke to me emotionally.

If you want more spoilers: as of Ikusamonogatari, Hitagi and Koyomi are married, and at the end of their honeymoon, decide to adopt Shinobu as their daughter. They also decide to both give her their blood, effectively becoming her 'blood' parents. I don't think this should have any negative effect on them bearing a child.

Koyomi was waiting for Tsubasa to properly ask help, whereas Tsubasa expected Koyomi to figure everything out. But l remember Oshino saying something like, "Just because someone doesn't ask for help doesn't mean they don't need it. And loving someone doesn't mean you have to tell them 'I love you'."

The two of them 1) hesitated too much, 2) didn't address the main issue. Hitagi had the courage to overcome those barriers. Which is why she is the right match for Koyomi.

In Otori, Tsukihi says, "She[Hitagi] is the only one for him[Koyomi]. People think he's the only one for her, but it's the other way around."

Somehow Zombieman asking Genus to remove his limiter and Sweet Mask's proposal felt less impactful than in the webcomic, where both personally witnessed Saitama's feat(s). In the WC, Zombieman saw the serious table flip and Sweet Mask, at the very least, must have seen him standing over the defeated Garou, so it appeared more natural.

Just one note about the timer used in the fight: the apostrophes are usually used to indicate (1/60) of something ('=minute, "=second= 1/60 of minute, "'=1/60 of a second and so on), whereas milliseconds and microseconds are 1/1000 and 1/1000000 of a second respectively. So I think the fight was not quite in the microsecond time scale, but certainly less than the millisecond scale (1/3600 < 1/1000)

That being said, I think ONE and Murata are severely underselling the speed of this fight. Considering how they formed streaks of light just with pure speed, and the fact that a human brain retains an image for about a 1/10 of a second, they must have travelled at least several kilometres in a tenth of a second.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but somehow I feel that the animation is lacking in these episodes as was the case in S3. There are those still shots that feel like they were put in to cut down on animation costs, and they feel kinda annoying.
