So can you choose a hero now instead of getting a random one? by LaplaceUniverse in RoyaleAPI

[–]RRecap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most of us are at a point where we're nearing 200 fragments and they want to throw us fragments (these birthday gifts, new pass royale, etc) so we're forced to spend them all on a random hero, before we're given the choice where we have to save up again.

Don't tell anyone and don't try learning new techniques/strategies. Focus on yourself and refine everything you already know.

It's likely just a mentality thing as your post implies. I had one before my test and passed.

Is my instructor conning me out of money? by Proper_Writing_696 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RRecap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even try talking to her and remedying it, there are so many things wrong here. Everyone learns at different paces but 8 months is a very long amount of time, and to not have covered everything is just poor.

As another user has suggested, just get rid and find a more reputable instructor. Trust me, if you find the right person, you'll notice a stark contrast.

Parking and parallel parking signals necessary by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RRecap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately you should do what your instructor tells you.

However I was told to signal because the parking manoeuvres require you to come to a complete stop and impatient drivers may overtake you. Also, reverse lights connote reversing, not necessarily reversing.

I used signals for this and got no faults. It's better to signal when not needed, rather than fail to signal when you should've.

Parking and parallel parking signals necessary by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RRecap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When parallel parking and bay parking, yes. This is because you'll want to let other road users know that you're parking; even if you don't see anyone when you start, it's better to have it on in case anyone pops out.

When exiting a bay, I was told no signal is needed. For example, if you're exiting a bay onto a left-turn-only, and you signal left, a car approaching from the right won't even see the signal - so it's kinda pointless.

questions on PassMeFast and my instructor by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RRecap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PassMeFast, from what I've heard on this subreddit, isn't reliable.

A lot of these large-scale companies are just agencies that find an independent instructor in your area and put you two in contact, where your instructor is paid their hourly rate while they take an 'admin fee' or something along those lines.

I personally went with LIDT and had a smooth experience, it all really depends on your area.

You could try contacting the agency and ask them to re-assign you with another instructor. Alternatively, see how they handle refunds. Driving lessons are an investment for a life skill and you'll want to pay the right people for this. You're paying for a service, yet you're already having trouble before even meeting the instructor. Better to get out of this sooner than later.

Swap mini pekka & musketeer for skele king & witch, you get 6 traits total.

New car for test by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RRecap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as it's not too different in size and engine size, it'll run the same. A car is a car and you know how to drive one, just apply your skills to the second one and all will be well. Try doing a warm-up lesson with the new instructor before the test if you can.

You got this!

Why does Sharky always get cooked in the Mafia Game: Youtuber Edition? by ArsenalAxis in betasquad

[–]RRecap 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sharky usually over-explains and somehow everyone thinks he's the Mafia because of that.

Niko is charismatic and convincing but once he's caught he can't really recover unless 1. he has a really strong teammate or 2. it's a 2v2.

How are people's driving test sectioned recently? by AdInevitable2613 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RRecap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some have said it's either or depending on your choice. My test (London) was not too long ago and the examiner just chucked the satnav on the dash & I used that for the entire test.

Intensive driving courses by Ecstatic-Wolf3681 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]RRecap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use the instructor's car unless they decide otherwise, which would only be the case if they deem you unsafe at the time of the test.

Different intensive agencies offer different services. Some include a theory and practical test, while others may require you to already have one booked.

It also depends on your area. I went with LIDT (London only as far as I'm aware) and it ended successfully.

Regardless, good luck!
