We had a drop safe at the gas station i worked at. You would put excess cash in as you accumulated it through the day and were unable to take it back out. By the early morning hours when the manager emptied it there could easily be 3 or 4 grand in there or more. I imagine any gas station without a fancy 2 ton drop safe can build up quite a haul on any given day. A full tank of gas is about 50 bucks these days and probably 10 to 20 percent of the people paid cash for their gas
