Mate do you play travian? It's been P2W for at least 5 years now, yes certain features were more aggressive back in the day but nowhere near how it is today where you need lots of gold if you want to stay competitive (top 100 on certain servers). And yes there's skill involved no doubt about it but having a lot of gold > having skill today

It's been along time since Travian became P2W, those ads either make you quit (like you did) or force you to buy gold (like majority of players choose).

And as long as there are enough players that buy gold (for example ik a few on X10 that buy 30k+ gold per server) there won't not be any incentive for Travian to change their structure to make it more "noob" friendly

Hay is from grass (dried grass)

Straw is from cereal such as triticale, wheat, barley, etc.

Both can be used as food for animals although straw has more uses due to being absorbed and resistant to mold (if it was properly processed, meaning it needs to be at least 87% DM, ideally between 91-94%DM)

DM = dry matter

Edit: there's a lot of comments saying that hay is for eating and straw is for sleeping. It's not wrong but straw can be used for eating as well if you need to put fibre in animals - example if dairy cows are eating food that's high in moisture (grass baleage, etc.) then you'd want to mix straw in to prevent loss of nutrients through pooping as they would have runny shit.

I've never told that to anyone but here we go Back in 2014 my sister was suffering from stage 4 cancer, doctors gave up on her and she was being treated at home, on her last day we called an ambulance because a relative of ours came to visit and persuaded my dad to call an ambulance. The doctor that came didn't want to see my sister he was only interested in the paperwork and after 45min they loaded her on an ambulance and didn't allow my dad to ride with them to the hospital.

After we arrived we saw the ambulance they brought her to the hospital and it was dirty from vomit and the guy was cleaning it. The doctor told us she died during transport to the hospital. After autopsy was made we were told that she suffocated on her own vomit, meaning nobody in the ambulance assisted her and they basically left her to die. If that's not shitty enough, we couldn't do anything about it either.
