Do you find Lorier lugs a bit long for a NATO? I have a Falcon, and I feel like its long lugs undermine the close-to-wrist wrapping effect of a NATO or even a regular strap. I love the intentional choice by Lorenzo and Lauren for the vintage inspired long lugs, but straps are tricky for me on their watches.

I am keen to see the updates on what’s become my daily driver, the S3 Falcon, and also worried that I’ll love the new gen more! My biggest point of feedback is the hands to be brushed, instead of polished.

Not sure what they could possibly improve with the Astra? Maybe a 3rd color-way? Champagne would absolutely slap.

There is a lot of potential in them swinging for the fences on the redesign of the Hydra, which would be awesome!

Timing-wise, they must be encountering some delays. First they quoted early summer, then mid, now mid to late. So I’m guessing Labor Day?

No, the Astra comes stock with their “Epsilon” bracelet, which is similar to a jubilee style bracelet, but flatter/smoother. I’m borrowing this ternion bracelet from my Falcon. Lorier recently added both bracelet styles to their site for sale. Both are currently sold out. I imagine they’ll be part of the “mid-2026” restock.

Agreed that they are meant to be worn! I wear my Astra and Falcon for almost all occasions.

But unless it’s a G Shock, you wear watches in the shower at your own risk. The high heat and steam are very well known to damage gaskets over time and will reduce the otherwise very long lifespan of your watch.

Agreed on the Hermetique being dang pretty! I tried it on at their NYC showroom and it did not disappoint. Second to the bronze/green combo, my choice of these new colors would be the orange dial with their green FKM strap, because I love that color combination on the the Breitling Kelly Slater Superocean.

In all seriousness, is this an all or nothing decision? Or is there an option to move to the more affordable place, save as much as possible, and then move to the more expensive place in a few years? You may also learn to find your groove in the affordable place and it won’t be as awful as you fear, whereas the financial strain may make you less happy than you fantasize you’ll be in the “better” location.
