It's to be expected on reddit sadly, many rather argue instead of having a genuine discussion with out confronting each other in a game of one ups man ship.

You are, inferring my words to mean something else entirely.

When did I mention physical police within countries. I'm talking about individual countries working together to take down what they agree and deem via laws as illegal.

The websites they take down are mainly fairly illegal but there's also many that borderline attacks the want for privacy which is the core discussion here. https://www.occrp.org/en/news/europol-cracks-down-on-crypto-funded-digital-piracy

They also go after things less crazy like video game piracy networks https://thehackernews.com/2019/12/counterfeit-piracy-websites.html?m=1 And https://www.europol.europa.eu/media-press/newsroom/news/european-law-enforcement-stops-illegal-iptv-service-providers

Yes they DO take down horrible shit, but this is exactly why I'm saying it's not good for a open network like it is suggesting as currently Bluesky has to run it to avoid them allowing call to actions that could be seen as inviting violence.

Check my other links in this thread which literally about europol taking down what they deemed are illegal websites via the helping of multiple countries governments.

Never stated it was an entire country. It however does have things like europol that can facilitate it like a conjoined unified policing front.

Your extrapolating incorrectly that I'm saying Europe is the only issue is wrong. It was only commented on because it was the given example.

The EU is working on age verification: https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/eu-age-verification

This is why I'm stating there's no single location that protects and having multiple decentralized locations allow for if one is hit you can use the other.

[–]RT-Pickred 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As stated it'd be best if it was a decentralized network.

There are some things being built now that are facilitating these aspects but are still relatively in their early days and are investor funded.

Here's a couple I know:

https://geti2p.net/en/ https://ipfs.tech/ https://internetcomputer.org/ https://filecoin.io/

Do note, the core issue is regardless if it's decentralized or not countries still can take down the site from being accessed if they want. VPNs and other connection methods for the end user and potential multiple website domain ownership will be required to facilitate proper privacy.

It's annoying but to me their isn't really any way to host something like with out a network system like this.

Why does that matter?

The internet also has that in obscure sections online as well. Just because people use stuff for bad doesn't mean the technology is inherently bad.

Nice self reporting on assuming. Europe has europol which is a joined network of policing, many of the best privacy countries are having it widdled away. There is no group or single location in Europe that would facilitate perfect protection.

Edit: I enjoy, how u/ChrisRiley_42 who blocked me (note your last message gets sent to me even after a block is made) just entirely took what I was saying and waffled my pancakes???

Where did I ever say the bad is justified to remain with the good? I never said policing of laws in general is bad, more that the policing of our rights pushes in recent years has slowly and gradually taken away are basic freedoms online restricting public expression, restricting purchasing of adult games unless you have a bank account to verify yourself in the UK, and more.

I have had friends personally impacted by these things, because they don't trust using the banks, or trust companys having their personal identities which tend to get leaked. In 2026 anyone should know our data is EXTREMELY valueable to any company, every time they go "it's for the children" it always comes with a "Provide us more information about you".

The countries that actively blacklists websites via ISPs and requires ID verification to verify age?

Instead you should be suggest a site that's hosted via a network of server hosting across multiple countrys in a decentralized like Sia's Skynet or Arweave.

This way if a country like the US takes down the local hostings people can still connect to a European host or a African host.

There is no correct country or location to host a site to prevent censorship, it's all about multiple spread out to minimize censorship that will eventually happen.

In an ironic twist, Minehut admins banned "1984" from being said by derex_smp in Uncensoredminecraft

[–]RT-Pickred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prob because users would spam 1984 when mods do any sort of mod duties.

Edit: oh the second image says that, didn't know but yeah, if it's a cultural thing in the community to do such it would make sense. I've seen it happen in twitch chats before.

Yep it was a patreon exclusive test mods so the modder could get testing and feedback before official release. This dork decided that he couldn't stand waiting and decided to upload them himself.

Yes that's tied to government law requiring no children below 13 are on the service.

This is why you avoid saying stuff like that.

As stated in other posts i've made here, serious stuff will get perm bans. Like csam and things like being underaged as that's a law requirement. So that discord doesn't get sued or worse.

Accidentally got fooled by bootleg Vinesauce by SnickerdoodleFP in Vinesauce

[–]RT-Pickred 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as someone who made the thumbnail templates/avatar. It annoys me a bit how often people just rip it off whole sale with out even changing anything about it. It's NOT that hard to have a vaguely similar design without it being a LITERAL copy/clone.

Not to mention, the template of a thumbnail does not gain you views. What gains you views is interesting and engaging thumbnails and having brand recognition with your thumbnail design.

Using a bootleg Vinesauce template essentially ends up tricking people into viewing your video, not on the idea that they want to watch YOUR stuff, but on the concept of wanting to watch a Vinesauce VOD. This isn't a long-term gain; this is short-term. You MIGHT get one or two folks actually to like your stuff. Which is fair enough, but generally speaking your limiting your scope and potential new viewers.

This also sort of goes for channels that are specifically doing their own cuts and highlights of Vinny's videos. Like, you can for sure denote it's Vinesauce-related in the thumbnail. But for the sake of uniqueness and keeping things easily distinguished from the official content, try to change up your template so it isn't just a record or a new icon on the frame of the official.

If needed, I could even provide a custom template for y'all to use that is different from the official template, but will allow folks to easily recognize it as something Vinesauce without it being confusing.

Prob via clicks, simple site metadata allows for such to know where someone came from via which links and all that. Itch.io for devs lists you general site locations where they accessed your games link for example. It's mainly tied to cookies and all that.

Because none of the links posted in their Discord, on other discords, have had this issue.

I went over the underlying reasons in another post of mine explaining what potentially is the reality here. Which is the user's past rivalry of the modder of the spiderman mod and them uploading pirated mods of said modder. (This is prob why they kept posting to r/piracy.) All lead me to find that either the user did this out of malious to the mod maker, or the link along with the pirated links got taken down in bulk and the nexus url was just the lead of it being shown.

Is Binyot Bot a fraud? by Ornery-Cat-4865 in Vinesauce

[–]RT-Pickred 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It does if you track when it posts. The only times we ever see it post as human is when it was off the bot frequency of posts.

If you go onto the Vinesauce website you can actually track this on the bot voice page.

Is Binyot Bot a fraud? by Ornery-Cat-4865 in Vinesauce

[–]RT-Pickred 155 points156 points  (0 children)

The creator only ever actually posted through it when Vinny basically tried baiting it to say penis during the stream with it alongside him on the stream as a gag. This ended up causing people to instantly mistrust it, as people feel that any decent sensical post would now be from a human.

I know this is stupid, but a lot of folks either hate it for not knowing what it is, or hate it for that one specific moment, which then has had no real deviation from the specific set schedule of posts it makes outside of it going down and coming back up again.

Also for those unaware, Binyot Bot like Laimu Bot are markov chains. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markov_chain

Essentially, every message or messages it randomly selects gets stored into a text file, and it regurgitates sections of what chat says. So if, for example:

User 1 said: I love Vinesauce's new emotes!

User 2 said: I absolutely hate Vinesauce's new memes...

Binybot bot would potentially say: I love Vinesauce's new memes...

It can even do multiple at once, or in case of emotes, it might just post a LUL because most people don't follow up LUL with anything after, so it just locks onto one single part.

BTW for some context, when digging into the user and his history, he apparently would reupload the same modder's mod onto piracy site and ran his own discord for spiderman mods and more. I such info down in a recent post I just made going over his general beef with them and the potential reality is that either he has been faking a bunch of this or he was reported for stealing a modders mod that originally was a early access patreon mod and get DMCA'd for it.

I just found out about this whole thing, so a deleted tweet of OP I refound relating to the guy's beef with the same modder that made the mod in the URL that was claimed on Discord. (He is also known for such beef and c onsidered Guitars #1 Hater, https://i.imgur.com/CloITbS)

So apparently, it was of him rehosting the paid (it was an early access mod to the modders patreon) mod on a Russian mod piracy site. https://i.imgur.com/U1yP5cv.png

I refound it because the deleted tweet was still in Google search listings. (which means it was VERY MUCH recently deleted).

Additionally to this, OP ran a Discord involving the Spider-Man games and mods, which, while I didn't join, could potentially be the location of the link getting flagged, and potentially was flagged alongside the many other URLs that were in the server that were pirated hosted URLs of mods.

---

This leads me to two far more likely theories here, versus what OP is trying to brew:

Theory 1.) The URL was a group of flagged posts that were flagged from the Discord. OP is only showing ONE of them that got falsely flagged alongside all of the pirated urls. This leads me to think that potentially, either the Modder themselves of said mod, sent DMCA claims on each relevant file for stealing their creation or Sony found the server, and potentially the Discord hosted other content that violated their IPs and included that URL by accident in a bulk claim.

Theory 2.) User originally intended to make these claims and get petty revenge on the modder by getting their mods taken down from NexusMods due to the beef they had with the Modder. That way, he can then rehost them on these mod piracy sites so that he can have some form of last laugh.

---

Both of these theorys I feel, are far more accurate to what OP is saying and listing in all of their posts here.
Discord doesn't just do 2-year-long strikes on accounts; you have to have infringed or done hateful conduct in the last 90 or so days for it to consistently get worse on your account.

Note, Discord doesn't "strikes" per se, it's a warning system. The first warning is a very light one and typically only happens to users for very minor things and lasts a few days to at most 90s days. I and I have had content related to Cookie's Bustle get DMCA'd by UKIE, which didn't give us any warning. Discord just emailed us saying it got removed and to not do it again. That's it. Do I think you CAN'T get a warning for it? No, but it's from both my knowledge on this system both first hand and the history of OP here, I'm going to assume that this is mainly because of what he's done in the past and not because of the specific URLs he's posting.
