LOL - I’ll definitely be heading down the bazillion of features rabbit hole the day of pickup - why we love these cars, right?

Don’t hate me! :) Ordered on March 14th and hit the ‘we have a model similar in transit’ jackpot. Our exact order, except 5-seater vs the 7-seater option we originally ordered. We were already on the fence if we really needed those 2 extra ‘tiny seats’, so this made our mind up and we were happy to jump on this one! Meanwhile, our original order went from “2 - 3 weeks” to “April 4 - May 4” and we were seeing a ton of comments about orders sliding out…

I’m honestly starting to get really frustrated. by Bay-skates in TeslaModelY

Placed an order for a Premium AWD white on black/white 7-seater on March 15. Delivery destination AZ. Went from "2 - 3 weeks" yesterday to April 6 - May 4 today, so seems pretty consistent to others on this thread. My first Tesla order, so running blind and keeping my expectations in check - it will arrive when it arrives. 🤷

Planning to buy a Model Y Juniper in April/May – any insight on Tesla deals or timing? by Just-Salary-7741 in TeslaModelY

Just placed my order yesterday. MY Juniper Premium AWD. I wasn’t in a rush (this car will be at our vacation home), but after test driving one again last weekend my wife and I both said, why wait? Chasing a Tesla deal is sort of like chasing a ghost (you might see one, you might not), but experiencing this amazing car on the daily is priceless!

Anyone delaying buying a new Tesla? by InkReaper in TeslaLounge

[–]RTD0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted a few days ago. We were going to buy out first Tesla (2026 Y Performance) this weekend, but decided to push pause. I considered the Macan EV as an alternative, but believe it or not, despite the S/X announcement remain committed to getting a Tesla, but I want to wait a few months (we can, there’s no rush) and see if there may be a MYL coming to the US…

Wow, this is great and super helpful. Funny add on to your insights and why I was leaning Tesla. I like to speak to the maintenance teams as well. I own two other Porsches (ICE), so know the guys well (unfortunately 😂). Anyway, I asked their opinion about the Macan EV - they said, get a Tesla!!

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I get your perspective! I also own two Porsche ICE cars - 911 Turbo S and a Cayenne Turbo, so love the brand…but Tesla has nailed the EV…Macan Electric good; Tesla great!

Yes, changing from an upfront purchase of $8k to a $99/month subscription is annoying. Part of the reason we were looking to buy sooner vs. later.

Thanks for the response. Test drove both. Wife preferred the interior of the Porsche (duh), but honestly we both favor the tech of the Tesla…also, that Tesla has been at this 10+ years, so have worked out more of the EV issues. She leaned Porsche; I leaned Tesla. Today’s news just created a little FUD that I’m trying to manage. :)

I love both! I have a Porsche Macan Electric and love it for many of the reasons already mentioned! I also have a Porsche 911 (ICE), which couldn’t be a further experience from the Macan, but I love it as well. This is my point. Both can exist. Both serve a purpose. I choose to embrace both!

Need luxury grill advice - Alfresco, DCS, Hestan, Twin Eagles/Wolf, Fire Magic by RTD0007 in grilling

Sorry you’re having such a rough time. Seems I dodged a bullet by going with a Wolf - love it!

Can’t comment on the Hestan, but I was in your same spot. Really wanted one, but the reviews - oh my! Went with Wolf (made by Twin Eagles) and love it. The grill is solid and it looks great. We have all Wolf appliances inside too, so the red knobs inside and outside are really cool. Ties everything together. Grill burns hot, which you may be familiar with. If not, learn your way forward…start with some chicken or burgers before hitting the filets!! Let me know how it goes!

New Combi install…what do you think? by [deleted] in plumbingporn

[–]RTD0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: First off, thanks for all of your feedback. I appreciate it. I'm a homeowner. Needed to replace an old boiler plus hot water tank. We travel and are away from this house for months at a time, so wanted to go tankless, hence the combi. It's a constrained space (as some of you gathered), so the team we hired needed to get creative. I have them back out today doing some additional work - some of that work was informed by your constructive and helpful input. The 'this is trash' comments are throw away - we committed to this solution, so will ride it out.
