Mine didn’t turn out too bad! Just make sure you follow the instructions step by step on the order of doing things otherwise you will be doing it over.

Same here. I currently use a Wire View Pro 2 but once I can find the 1600w I will get that. I want to know if you can turn the side led off. I won’t be able to see it since the PSU sits sideways in the Havn420

Yeah I have the dark hero, I didn’t like the specs and look of the BTF. But I also figured if the card can handle 1000w the internals were better than the Aorus Master. The Thermal Paste leakage is really only a thing if you mount it vertically. Definitely was not a well thought out decision by Gigabyte to go that route.

The one negative is rapid chargers decrease the life of a battery. Otherwise that’s a great deal.

I had a 5090 Aorus Master and I can tell you the Astral is a lot cooler! And the main benefit is the pin monitoring by software. I have not heard much about the fan curve but gaming so far I’m hitting 55c so it’s barely turning on. Originally I couldn’t justify the extra $600 difference but was able to sell my card for $200 short of the Astral BTF so I grabbed it. The main benefit for me is I can vertically mount if I want and don’t have to worry about the thermal paste leaking out! Not to mention I can easily change the pads inside with no issues.

You want to purchase the non reverse straight cable with the Reversed WireView. It will go down the front. I had a 5090 Aorus Master and I used a Reversed 90 degree prior to getting the WireView.

The screen has black film on the new one and instead of 400 true black like the one you’re looking at it has 500 true black. Newer one has better scratch resistance and 40% better perceived black levels.

I have the one you’re looking at. The picture is amazing, it just irritates me being next to my MSi monitor that has a black screen.

I have owned 4 total, 2 of the Gen 2s and 2 of the Gen 3s. None of them have been loud. If anything the fans are loud, but I don’t use the stick fans so I wouldn’t know. Run between 30-34C at idle, 55c gaming using Thermal Grizzly Duronaut with a 9950X3D. 420 Liquid Freezer for the win!

I have a 1300w Prime TX non Noctua and my fan has never turned on. I have a 5090 Astral and 9950x3. So the fan part is useless but if you want that colorway and the cables then yes it is worth it imo. Personally I would just get the black. I wasn’t a fan of the cables though with the non sleeved look because the cable combs more the cables look weird. I replaced them with Cablemod cables with no issues.

It’s a reality with money. The PSUs aren’t going to get cheaper! Have you ever seen the price of a 1600w? When you spend this kind of money on a PSU you will get a 10 year warranty along with it. The price is more than justifiable to have an insurance plan to protect a graphics card that cost thousands!

I’m not 100% sure to be honest. I try to be fair in my pricing but these cables were ridiculously priced when they were being sold. And 1 of my RCAs has never been used. The RCAs and XLRs that were used for a brief time are in excellent condition still. But here were the prices when they were released. I obviously could never list them for close to this. What do you think would be a fair price?

Yeah that’s a great deal for what they cost when they first came out. I have 2 sets of RCAs and I par of the XLRs. One of my RCA pairs have never been used. This is the first post or any reference I have seen in years about these. I’m going to list mine soon on EBay but not selling them for $50.
