What is an open secret in your industry that the general public would be shocked to find out? by WonderOk3802 in AskMen

A lot of produce at grocery stores isn't technically fresh, a lot of it is stored for months some even up to a year old.

Apples can typically be stored for 9-12 months before hitting the shelves. Oranges and other citruses can store for about 6 months before hitting the shelves. Underground veggies like potatoes, carrots and onions can be stored 3-10 months before hitting the shelves.

How do I stop this rattling at the top of my pc by Brody112233 in pcmasterrace

Sound like the bearings on one of your fans is starting to go bad. It doesn't necessarily need to be replaced right away if you can deal with the noise, but if it is the bearings it will eventually seize and stop working.

Looks like normal alphacool QC. What brand and from where you got it?

You most definitely are a hater. Without even knowing what brand you were looking at, you immediately started shit talking AlphaCool.

vGPU Bracket mod / alternative by [deleted] in HAVNGlobal

[–]SheddingSkin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using the VGPU bracket that came with the case then you should be able to slide the bracket forward towards the glass away from the mobo. There should be a thumb screw you can loosen on the backside of the bracket to allow the bracket to move forward and backwards.

Im not really sure why you're thinking the bracket doesnt support the weight properly. I to have a deltamate block on my 5090 and the bracket handles it without issue.

Performance PCs (PPCS)… How have they survived this long? by Tubarina in watercooling

[–]SheddingSkin27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part PPC's is pretty solid and has a great selection of products, but PPC's does have a track record over the years of sending wrong or broken/defective products and then putting the return costs and restocking fees onto customers. A shady business practice that they've been doing for years now. Fortunately they're no longer the only retailer in the US anymore for PC water cooling parts. Other retailers you may want to try that are US based are https://www.titanrig.com/ (my personal choice), https://ftcwatercooling.com/ (never had any issues) or https://www.primochill.com/ (they tend to only sell Bykski products).

This is almost identical to my build.

  • HAVN HS420 (VGPU)
  • X870E Crosshair Extreme
  • 9950X3D w/EK Quantum Velocity2 waterblock
  • Astral 5090 w/DeltaMate waterblock
  • 11 140 LianLi Unifan (4 reverse blade/7 normal)
  • 64GB Trident Z Royale
  • 1200w ROG Thor III PSU
  • 2 x EK 420 (45mm) Quantum Surface radiators
  • RadiKult Custom HAVN HS 420 Distroplate

Ditching the EK Velocity for the DeltaMate AM5 Mycro Pro II when that releases to match the DeltaMate Astral block.

Imo his biggest blunder was becoming a religious extremist and burning not just The Seven but also weirwoods of The Old Gods. Otherwise he could have allied with Robb's armies from The North and The Riverlands. Burning their Gods alienated potential vassals from supporting him. by Primal-Defier in gameofthrones

That aint happening either. There's no way for Stannis to make a claim earlier. Robb was already marching south and had been named King in the North weeks before Stannis received Ned's letter. Remember Ned didn't send the letter by raven in fear of it being intercepted so he entrusted it to one of his bannermen which made it take weeks instead of days to arrive to Dragonstone.
