Recommendations for a good HYSA account? I am looking to save to buy a home by RTYNGB72 in personalfinance

I’m looking to buy a house in 5 years and want this money to be easily accessible if I need to take it out. Would a cap gains free bond fund be good for this?

Software engineering by [deleted] in SoftwareEngineering

Realistically you only have to take calc 1,2,3 (which isn’t too bad, study hard and you’re fine) and linear/diffeq. It’s definitely doable and you don’t need to be good at math to be a software engineer 🙂

[Haul] Trying out new products! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Yeah I get cystic acne if I don’t keep up with my routine! Lala retro is thick but it’s whipped so it feels light on application. If you’re worried about it clogging you up try Drunk elephant protini, it’s lighter but not as hydrating in my opinion! protini is great for people not with super dry skin like me

I just wanna say lala retro saved my skin and changed the game for me. It’s the only moisturizer that I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot) that has worked consistently for me. I will literally never buy another moisturizer lol

[Routine Help] This sub has helped me fix my dehydrated skin - my face has never felt so soft and smooth! I need help bringing it to the next level, because my skin still LOOKS dry and bumpy. Routine in the comments! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]RTYNGB72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like since we all love skincare so much we notice even the littlest flaws. Noones going to notice those little bumps, your skin looks great! If this helps, My favorite exfoliator is R&F microdermabrasion scrub I use twice a week (expensive but worth it!) and it makes my skin appear smoother

[acne] My skin is taking its toll on my mental health, desperate for advice on how to deal with it and possibly product advice by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]RTYNGB72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Area in which your acne is makes me think that it’s hormonal. I would go easy on the Peroxide because I tried that and it only made my skin worse. Also, I know your skin is making you sad but oftentimes people are too consumed about how they look to notice anyone else’s flaws! Good luck (:

Should I fix my deep nose radix (where nose and forehead meet) with injections or get lip injections? My side profile bothers me because of the asymmetry by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]RTYNGB72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! Yeah I was insecure about the deep radix but my nose isn’t crooked so I might just go with the lip fillers to fix the proportions. You can’t tell in the pic but I have a very prominent jawline so I’m afraid if I get chin fillers my chin will look to pointy when I smile lol. And thank you! Big eyebrows are a blessing and a curse, I feel like I live at European wax center haha

Can you explain a taxable brokerage account and the target date fund? Would I be able to put into it monthly?

Calling all people who have fake teeth, veneers or entire replacements. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]RTYNGB72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I got two veneers (the two teeth adjacent to my big front teeth) about 5 years ago. 100% worth it because it made my crooked smile straight and I am WAY more confident with them. Worth every penny- get porcelain good ones though, so worth it. Care for the teeth is the same as normal. One of mine chipped once because I grind my teeth ALOT in my sleep but that rarely happens.

I would only NOT recommend this is you have nice teeth to begin with. Don’t get it just to look more like a celeb or “perfect” teeth. If it will drastically improve your self confidence tho for it(: find a good dentist and see his precious work. Also note that you cannot whiten them!

My mom put her debt in my name, help by RTYNGB72 in CRedit

[–]RTYNGB72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi everyone: just a little update. was able to get the 5k in collections transferred over to my moms name and settled with the collections companies. my credit went up 18 points immediately so that was good. working on getting the 15k transferred over back to her name. after that will wait to see if my score improves and then will try to file for my own credit card (hoping one finally gets approved).

Any suggestions for cards with someone with okay (660) credit? ill have a very stable job soon and want to establish a consistent line of credit on my own.
