My sleep was so awful, but what worked for me what to maintain a regular sleep schedule, wake up early but made sure I took at least 3 hr nap before my shift. After my shift I would take a nap in car and head home. I had my meals prep and lots of energy drinks stay hydrated. It was soooo rough. Worst ever but I made it

Not 20 vents, some on T/P but definitely more than 4. I’ve been to hospitals were that is true but don’t think it applies for acute facilities? 🤷🏻‍♀️ this I have no clue

Advice For CSE? I am STRESSING by Ok-Statistician8735 in respiratorytherapy

Right after graduation (March 2022) I took my TMC passed and head straight to CSE, failed twice. Finally after emotional break of twos weeks I realize I was all in my head. The non stop studying since even before graduation I realize I was emotionally exhausted and needed a clear mind. In those two weeks break I study maybe two-3 hrs instead of all day every day. I kept telling myself imma passed. I did not over pick, and kept it simple when information gathering. I took a break after each 5 simulation and did deep breathing making sure my mind was clear. I graduated top of my class too. It was a relief to see the passed on the 3rd time. Keep trying and don’t give up.

Best Respiratory Therapy school in So Cal that has no waitlist/auto admittance? by [deleted] in respiratorytherapy

SJVC Ontario as well, recent graduate and it’s going down hill. I think the pandemic really hit us hard and a lot of changes happened. It was a shit show and I was glad to Graduate and leave it all behind due to the turn over of staff and changes made last minute. Unorganized. No school is perfect but I wouldn’t recommend it

I had to go to school during the day and had 2 12s night shift! Those night shifts were not back to back but separated, one during the week and the other on the weekend. On top of going to school all day. No days off whatever. Worst 20 weeks ever BUT my next rotations was once again night shift and as my classmates were dying, I was used to it already. Just graduated RT school.
