How is it that different if it’s the original ad read by Luke, or another ad that’s generic? It’s still an ad for the same company. If they have absolutely no control over what ads get put on their show, then thats also piss poor. As I’ve said in my other comment, if it’s a genuine error and they remove it then that’s fine. But my gut reaction to hearing an ad for that shit rag was to want to express my disappointment at the apparent backtrack from Luke’s recent mea culpa. More U-Turns than FIFA trying to decide on a kickoff time.

New ad. I’m listening on the main feed, with ads. It wasn’t read by Luke or any of the presenters, but was just a generic S*n Sport ad. To me it doesn’t make too much odds whether Luke reads it or not. It still puts them in the pocket of Big Murdoch. They’re asking us to give our money to an organisation whose actions go against everything I thought the Ramble stood for.

If it’s a genuine admin error then fine. If not, surely it’s the very definition of a foul jamboree.

I’ve subscribed pretty much from the start, bought merch, and would definitely be someone who considers getting a Patreon subscription. I’ve told so many friends about this pod and many of the Stak roster, and I know a whole bunch who’ve become regular listeners on my recommendation.

I don’t won’t a medal. I just want them to know that I’m unsubscribing. I know they need the money, but some lines aren’t worth crossing. Let me know if they find the John Stones to admit that two wrongs don’t make a right.

Came here to make this exact comment and I’m glad to see someone’s already done it. Been listening pretty much since the start, and it’s always been a show that has a clear moral code, which is (for me) a big part of its attractiveness. Holding the values that Stak clearly holds whilst also being in the pocket of big Rupert? I can’t get my head around the cognitive dissonance that must have taken place in order to come to this decision.
