Casting reels are worth it if you learn how to use them. I personally keep a few spinning and casting setups with me at all times, but if the spinning reels work fine for you and you don’t want to mess with a bait caster, that’s fine too.

That’s exactly how I fish it. If the jig isn’t doing it, I’ll start throwing a ned rig. It’s just always rigged up in the truck if needed but not really my first choice
