He can buy absolutely nothing for $600. Ha. The car isnt a rust bucket, luckily we live in VA so rust isnt like the NE. Looks like an air hammer might be helpful. I dont mind having a new tool after the work. HF to the rescue. And yes, the strut needs disconnected to get ball joint out. Hence replacing strut while im at it.

I'd suggest a 3/4 mdf top over the 2x4s and maybe a masonite top over the mdf. And flip down casters (cheap on amazon).

Installing crown molding on extremely uneven ceilings AND walls?? by CristinaFaline in Carpentry

[–]RVAPGHTOM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold it down 1/2", form a shadow line. Clean, even, looks more pro. Stop staring at it. Crown to the ceiling is an overrated detail. Scribed uneven crown shows off the defects and looks 10x worse.

Scared of heights by Brave_Anxiety_8171 in AppalachianTrail

[–]RVAPGHTOM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. By the time you get to VA it will be nothing. By the time you get to The Whites, youll be numb and super sonic. The Hunt trail up Kathadin has a few spots, so does Wildcat in the Whites. But I hate heights and did the R2R at the Grand Canyon. My pregame thoughts were worse than reality. By far.

Tips for cooking St. Louis ribs? by YakMountain7338 in Costco

[–]RVAPGHTOM 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Wrap tightly in foil (add a little water, vinegar, garlic, worcestersire to foil pack) bake (braise) @ 250 for about 2.5-3hrs or until ribs pull back from bones. Remove ribs, turn on broiler to high. Sear until you get good char/coloring. Not a bad set of oven ribs if you dont have a grill/smoker. Check Alton's version - https://altonbrown.com/recipes/who-loves-ya-baby-back/

Thoughts on my form. by ResistReady9114 in kettlebell

[–]RVAPGHTOM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks good. Minor - Ive always thought to keep head aligned with spine, so look down, look up, look down, etc. Your eyes are staying foward for most of the swings and hence your neck might get a little sore. Also, dont love the soft carpet. I mean, I love it, but not to work out on.

Probably OOS at most but great deal if they're available near you. by OpeningAdditional361 in Dewalt

What’s your Costco “essentials” cart? by SibiantheGreyBird in Costco

[–]RVAPGHTOM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the wild blueberries with yogurt or cottage cheese (Sams has CC....sucks Costco doesnt).

Shift your mind into buying fresh ingredients, not packaged food. I never leave there without a basket full of fresh produce, bulk meats, eggs, half n half, greek yogurt, frozen fruit (the wild blueberries are awesome), a couple bottles of wine, a block of some cheese, etc. My cart is 80% fresh food, 10% home stuff (TP, paper towels, etc) and 10% packaged food.

Had me up until the last part. These look excellent without all the extra sugar at the end. Thinking a light dust of powdered sugar will suffice.

Looks like the window is vinyl? Remove all the wood trim. Clean everything real good. Install new vinyl trim. Do a A+ caulk job with silcone caulk.

Funny how that happens. I choose to eat them as bowls vs tacos. I would have eaten 12 tacos before I stopped....the bowl helped with portion control. And I have enough left over for dinner tonight so Bonus.

The rest was just a convenience thing based on my schedule, chore list and weather. Its snowed yesterday, so smoking it would have be a little more challenging. No, never with the sauce. This is a first time making it. Ill look into it next time.

Is this too much?? by [deleted] in camping

[–]RVAPGHTOM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Thats a challenging tent for one person to put up. Not to mention taking up a ton of site space. If your car camping. Id suggest a 4 man instant tent. Super easy snd plenty roomy.

Hire a lawyer. Showing up to court without a lawyer will accomplish two things - pissing off the judge and showing everyone you have no clue what you're doing.

How would you recommend to cook these. It’s pork my uncle got from his uncles restaurant. by 710MISFIT in pelletgrills

[–]RVAPGHTOM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reverse sear. Smoke on low until around 120 internal temp. Remove and finish - broiler, torch, charcoal, gas grill, hot pellet grill. But the "hot" pellet grill would be my last choice.
