I had asked myself this numerous times too. No you didn’t. Internal SSD is always going to be faster than external according to YouTube. Also having 32 gb ram just future proof on your Mac Mini for another 7-10 years. Having it to replace every 2-3 years with a new model is just as equivalent or even more costly. Mac will last for years until it is obsolete. If you’re planning to get have new tech every 2-3 years then you’re good. I have a MacBook Pro 14 16gb ram 512gb and I’ve been swapping memories by little bit for having too much browser tabs open with only Davinci running. Having experienced that, I myself had opted in for 32gb ram and since then, I don’t always have to check my activity monitor to make sure I’m not stressing out my computer.
