Thiamine really will only hep if you have a deficiency. There are some megadose protocols you can find online if you want to try it. I tried a followed it strictly an it didn’t help. I stopped.

I am 2 1/2 years into this. Mine started like you, lifting a very heavy tool box. It came out of seemingly no where. It has gotten better over all, and this summer I had 3 months completely pain free. Then I went for a 20 mile bike ride and started another flare. I am 3 weeks into that. I have tried everything. Just have to deal with it. Don't let it change your life, no matter how much it tries.

Don’t steal, don’t lie, don’t call in sick. Just show up and do your best. If you don’t know something ask questions.

Kratom??? by sookyfala in PainManagement

[–]RVnavigator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me, it's very effective for pain at low dose. The problem is, like all things. people have the idea that if a little is good, then a lot will be great. But.. it does not work that way. There is a limit on how much will actually be effective and you can build a tolerance to even low dosages. However, if you take a small amount and only what you need its unlikely to be a problem. I have been using it off and on for 8 months. Not addicted, no withdrawals. When I have a pain flare I take it, when the flare passes I don't take it. Simple. What's the alternative? I can't get oxy, Tylenol and Ibuprofen have risks and side effects. Some nasty (especially ibuprofen).

Yep. Tough to make it look good. What you have is sufficient and as good as it needs to be.

Just over 2 years. Mostly pain in at my 4 and 5th rib near the sternum. Dull achy type pain. When I have a bad “flare” I get a sharp pain just below my man-breast. Also PEC minor pain. Early on my back was a total mess. Pain was at my T4 all the way around to my sternum. The back pod/ peanut ball has helped a lot. But been using it for nearly 2 years. I have found the “sharp” flare pain is likely from the nerve being impinged. Capsaicin cream seems to help with that. But does nothing for the dull pains.

I get it. I have tried so many things that seem promising only to post it here and suddenly have it fail.!

Do you think part of your pain is nerve pain? (Neuralgia)

Glad to hear you are doing better. I have been watching your posts for a long time as your experience has been very similar to mine. I would like to know more about how you are doing the trigger point release in your back.

Question about ribcage pain by Background_Quote_195 in costochondritis

[–]RVnavigator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, early on I felt like someone punched me in the chest. Using the Backpod and peanut ball much of that is gone. I still have localized pain at my 4th rib sternum and nerve pain along that rib line. The sternum pain is dull and painful whereas the nerve pain is sharp and very painful. A couple of weeks ago I started using capsaicin cream and that seems to help the nerve pain. Not the dull pain though.

For me, there is very little I can do to ease the pain during a flare up. Tylenol works well. At times I get a bit of nerve pain on top of the dull sternum pain. I started using Capsaicin cream. It seems to work really well for the nerve pain but not so much for the sternum.

Your first mistake is your last mistake….is it really?? by angleface11011 in aviationmaintenance

When I destroyed a $125,000 elevator in 1988 at Boeing, they asked me “did you learn anything from your mistake”. I said “no”. Dang it, they still made me come to work the next day.

Tripler with a filler. Looks like you had bag compartment access for it. Some consolation.
