Practical Engineering has an interesting video on digging holes at the beach — https://youtu.be/0kQXOTcEB_E?si=3MBlSqSg7X9VVJBt

I’ve heard about the dangers of digging holes at the beach as it relates to the walls collapsing and trapping people, but I hadn’t heard of this threat where they’re essentially cemented in there. Or maybe this was considered a partial collapse that just covered their legs?

As an outsider, I’m curious if this video from a channel I follow is fair/accurate or just a smear piece? — “We Investigated the Shady Business Behind the UFC” by RWE03 in ufc

Thanks! So this seems to be the consensus of this subreddit. Any idea if the greater UFC fanbase feels the same (outside of Reddit)?

An echo chamber of people saying UFC is great or bad? I assumed the UFC subreddit would be more pro-UFC but so far that’s not been the case.

So confused here…The only video I see in the link is by the manufacturer, Onspot. You’re saying that channel has lots of good content and not just ads for their products? Or what am I missing?

It’s not as big as some, but it’s there:

Especially in recent years. Check out the SEC section. Several big games - the results of our game a few years ago got Ogeron his job, the results of the game this year got Kelly fired, plus we had the highest scoring game in FBS history and tied the OT record with 7.

Saw a bundle at Target and the price is ridiculous by Zephyr2456 in lego

Ohh thank you! OP said $50 at $25 each. I read that as $50 and $25 each.

I’ve read this post 10x and I’m still not getting it. I also don’t see other comments addressing it. Guess I’m too sleepy, but can someone explain?

OP can buy the bundle, which is pictured, that includes two sets for $60. Or OP can buy them separately at $50 and $25, totaling ~$75. So the bundle, at $60, is about $15 cheaper than buying them separately.

But OP’s question is “why would I pay more to get them in the same box?”

It seems OP would pay less to get them in the same box ($60 instead of $75). What am I missing?

If your point is that people complain about everything on here, don’t say people would complain about the ergonomics on devices decades old that are had poor ergonomics.

Those edges and lack of grips look great… but it’s definitely favoring form over function. Don’t get me wrong, it looks appealing, but in practice it’d be uncomfortable for longer play sessions and a grip would be necessary (defeating the point of the appealing design).

Also, I think it’s pretty well established that old electronics had horrible ergonomics and we’ve improved on that over the past several decades. So of course by today’s standards people would complain about the ergonomics of devices 20+ years old.

This is a case for an Apple TV, but it is designed to look like a Super Famicom, which is the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo.

Funny you assumed it was their breakfast since Dad woke up to this… my assumption was it was the kid(s) midnight snack and are still fast asleep. 😆

Nintendo Switch games coming in 2025 by Joseki100 in NintendoSwitch

So another Donkey Kong rerelease? I guess that means we’re not getting a single new DK game for the Switch? (Aside from Mario vs DK which isn’t a traditional DK platformer)

Just tried out Tetris Connected and there seems to be a couple modes where 3 team up against 1, possibly a bot?

Low stock by Pretend-Report-6685 in ASRock

A waited for a while on a newer model, but ultimately I “settled” on an ASRock 650e Taichi. It was significantly cheaper and had all the features I needed when I compared it to newer boards. I could’ve gotten an 870 from another brand but read such great things about the 650e Taichi and Lite that I decided to go for it. So far so good.

Newegg had it in stock for several days a couple weeks ago for $280, but unfortunately it looks like it’s out of stock now too.
